... what do you mean by externals? Are you talking about adding furniture? Because adding furniture to your gun won't do anything to make it a DMR.

Some of the DMR people around here do like some of the M14s as a base platform, but like 99% of airsoft guns, you have to do your own work to tune them to be effective.
