I was at my local store and about to buy a TM G17. 3 of the salespeople told me that the gun would explode in my face within the month. I decided to research a little bit more before I made my desicion. So I guess the question is: Are the TM Glocks realible?

TM guns (all of their guns and especially their GBB pistols) are the guns that you compare everything else!
TM pistols are using VSR style hop up, these give you the best accuracy and range you can get right out of the box!
OK they have plastic slides and barrels so what? I've been using my first Hi Capa on green for at least 6 month before I convert it to proper IPSC pistol, never had a single problem.
I'd say go and pick up a TM Glock and if you want at a later time buy a metal slide and barrel and you're good.

The KSC is the same with KWA, KJW is TM clone.
I also have 3 KSC G18 (I assembled one completely from the spare parts I had!) and I love them, but I'll get and a TM G17 and a G18 soon.

I thought it was crazy too when they told me it "exploded". I was about the buy the TM G17 Custom (its the cusom version, not one they made custom). They said that the store owner bought the same gun, put $600 into it, and it has now violently came apart in the middle of games.
I've always heard great things about TM's too, so I dont know what the salespeople are talking about.

I guess I forgot to mention that they always try to sell me the ATP when Im looking at pistols. They explain to me that its just like a Glock and fits into Glock holsters. I dont think its anything like a Glock, but thats just me.
But the main problem with that is that fact that I want to turn the Glock into a project gun. But when theres no aftermarket parts (for the ATP), I dont see how that will happen

The ATP is made by KWA and it's a very nice sidearm, but you can't blame TM plus I don't believe that the $600 upgrades he's done didn't include a metal slide! 
I like Glock's and the looks are a crucial factor for me, the ATP from what I've read is a very nice pistol but it doesn't exist in real life so I don't want it!

My friend recently got one. Its got a light "fake" feeling (I suppose just different)unlike the other metal slided glocks I've used. but the performance wasn't bad.The ATP is made by KWA and it's a very nice sidearm, but you can't blame TM plus I don't believe that the $600 upgrades he's done didn't include a metal slide!
