Hi! I'm new here and new to airsoft sniping. Actually I'm before buying my first airsoft sniper. (Not my first gun tho)
I kinda of prefer replicas with realistic magazine placement, i think it adds to the feeling
I was wondering if there is any good, reliable sniper rifleother than the Silverback SRS/TAC-41?
I read that the TM L96 has a low cylinder to barrel ratio, and a not so good feeding system.
Any other options?

Is your objection to the silverback rifles the price?

If so all the good rifles with realistic mag placements don't come cheap

Maybe the new B&T/ArchWick SPR300, but I think that's about it for solid guns with decent mag placement.

Unless...... You could get a gas gun like an M700 or M700 clone. Idk much about them, but there's a few good ones out there that hopefully somebody else could guide you towards. Beware their expensive mags tho.

RonSwanson thank you for your answer. I wouldn't mind buying a Silverback since I've only heared good things about them, and I suppose with that price it gives great quality and reliabiltiy.
I mostly wanted to know my options if that makes sense.

Mod24 doesn't have a realistic mag placement.

The rest are either not very good or doesn't actually have a functional realistic mag.

I'll definitely vouch for the Tac41. The extended mags gives it even further realism, and they boast 110 rounds. The only gripe is that their magazines are extremely sensitive. Where typical magazines have an inset release tab that allows the BB's to eject, the Tac41 magazines have an protruding release tab, that's very easy to actuate - in laymen's terms, it's easy to accidentally turn the magazines into a pepper spray of 110 rounds into your face, hand, or pouch. There's some modifications that can be done to fix this.

I'll also throw the Striker out there if you're looking for a cheaper option - but many don't really consider it a good sniper, which is why it hasn't been suggested yet. The air volume ratio, poor quality control, and overall design has left it rather lacking.

I will look into it if it looks better for me than the TAC-41 i might wait. Do we know anything about the release price yet?

$400-$500. Expensive, but seems worth it.
