So because of Plaz's picture of his 470ft shot I tried to see some shots I've made in the past, and how long my zeroing distance really is. When I used a tape measure (not super precise) it came out to about 188ft. Google wrath in the other hand said it was 223ft, and my "far range target" is at 330ft. I was just wondering is this was true? (Will upload pics later)

Google earth is by no means perfect. It is a general product that lacks the functionality of an ESRI product or something like Global Mapper.

Other free online products include those found on the USGS website in 0.3m resolution at: USGS TNM 2.0 Viewer

The orthoimagery can be downloaded from that site and uploaded directly to a true GIS system as a georeferenced PDF or image for better spatial analysis than what Google Earth offers.

If I have the time today, I will see what one of those sources says for distances.

USGS TNM 2.0 Viewer did not show the updated CACTF layout, but by establishing a known reference point between buildings I can say that the numbers shown on Google Earth for this instance are within a percent of the numbers shown by the USGS program.

Google Earth normally measures longer then the actual range for me. This is from measuring a 300ft shot from GE, then measuring it with a range finder. Turns out GE said it was about 50ft longer then it actually was. Its an OK guesstimate, but its by no means precise.

GE is known to have a .05% to a .47% inaccuracy. A 15% deviation like you're claiming seems to be an error from your rangefinder, which are known to be +/-10m or greater.

Not trying to discredit your equipment, it just seems to be an error in measurement somewhere else.

No idea, it wasn't my rangefinder. Completely possible that I have mis-remembered the numbers, but I'm pretty sure that's how it came out.

first one is my 10/10 shot range on a 1.5ft x 2ft street sign, second is around where my bb drops. Careful, would it be off more than 10ft?

(don't worry, i live in the country. That intersection is almost always empty, and if not i can hear/see a car coming about 8 seconds before it reaches the intersection.)

Possible. I measured a couple airfield runways near your house, then checked the data against the official measurements. 3497/3500 (Moraine Airpark) and 5007/5000 (Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport) so it's unlikely but possible.
