GoPro HD Hero 2 on a scope?

Has anyone ever though of or tried using the HD hero 1 or 2 with the lcd screen back pack and attacking it directly to the back of a scope? So you can then still snipe using the screen but most importantly get footage down the sights.

Yeah I love his videos. His most recent scope cam videos, 4 and 5 I think, are superbly edited and are awesome to watch!
