Hi there! I'm David "Ronin" H, from Saskatchewan, Canada.
I have been playing Airsoft seriously for about 9 months now, and have been playing a marksman/ghost role for three of those months. I like to run a very low drag kit, consisting of surplus Canadian Military M81 camo fatigues, Tan shemagh (wrapped into a hood), Balaclava, Realtree hat, and a paintball armor vest that helps to break up my silhouette nicely. I personally specialize in Hit and Run tactics, Stalking, and Squad Tactics command.
My current arsenal consists of:
-WELL Warrior L96: Upgraded with a metal trigger group, CNC Bearing Spring guide, CNC Aluminum piston, and weight reduction mods. I run this with a red dot scope currently, since my engagement distances are not far enough to warrant a higher magnification optic. This is my go to gun for night games, as it is deathly quiet, since I keep the restrictor in place. My tactic is to perform ambushes within 25 yards in the darkness with this gun
-G&G TopTech TR16 (M4a1)
This is my usual gun, and has only had DIY air seal mods on the hopup done to it. I plan to create a DMR out of this gun, since the AR latch can be tripped externally to release a lockup on semi. It is currently tricked out with a 1.5-5x optic (though I keep it on 1.5, since it allows amazing target acquisition) And a modified M4 handguard, sporting a small rail for mounting a BiPod when needed. I use this as a general purpose rifle, and hope to make a fun build in the near future!
-(in progress) High Mobility Guerrilla Carbine "HMGR"
This is a current build based on a King arms M4 that I picked up for 40.00 from a guy leaving the sport. It will be composed of a high ROF gearbox built by myself, an HK416c stock, and a CQB front end. I will be performing most of the air seal tricks that I found on this forum, to maximize my performance. The reason why I call this the Guerrilla Carbine, is because I plan to use my current Hit and Run strategy with it. (There are multiple routes through the bush in my field, that allow me to assault a squad, vanish into the trees, and reappear in a different location).
I have much to learn, and I hope to share my knowledge and experiences with the rest of the community!
