Now, this rifle is brand new, but I have been commissioned to work on one of these so it was decided to write something up on it. First, compatibility and problems you might encounter.
Trigger Box:
-Spring Guide Stopper (SGS) makes the bolt push almost impossible. This is remedied by deburring the cylinder and polishing the SGS - smoothing its edges, and taking a little off the top of the SGS itself. Make it smaller and smoother, that helps a little bit. Ultimately, you will likely have to upgrade it.
-The sears are pot metal, and could use some deburring and polishing.
-It looks to be VSR compatible, and it is a 45 degree system to boot, so be careful when upgrading the spring.
Cylinder:
-I don't have any VSR stuff around to compare it with, but it looks to be VSR compatible. If someone can get me some measurements on a VSR cylinder, I can confirm that.
-The piston has a tiny airbrake that will not change much of anything.
-The spring guide is plastic and wimpy, but it does the job. It probably won't fail under a normal load, but again, be careful.
Cylinder Head:
-I have not seen a TM L96 style, but because the loading system is a clone of the TM L96 the feeding fin is probably nearly the same and attaches in the same way.
-Polishing it helps a ton, even with just some sandpaper helps a ton.
Hop Unit:
-They basically hacked a VSR chamber. They took a normal VSR chamber and filed it to fit. It does the job, and everything fits well. This one came with a screw missing, but it isn't crucial.
-The plastic is even worse than the stock JG plastic, and tends to bend easily. I would recommend a TDC ASAP.
Barrel + Bucking:
-VSR cut, and any VSR bucking will probably work.
-Nub on the bucking is tiny and crappy, DO NOT USE IT STOCK!
-The steel is not very good, but the crowning is good.
-The barrel spacers are plastic and glued on, so it takes some force to get them off. I highly recommend replacing them, they are kind of brittle.
Outer Barrel:
-The endcap IS removable, but it isn't easy.
-The paint scratches easily, in fact the orange tip came off just from scratching it with my fingernails. Then again, all the paint came off like that, so you should re-paint it.
-There are a lot of burrs in the OB, take some time with a dremel and deburr thoroughly.
-About the same OD as a Gspec barrel, but the length is like a pro version.
Receiver:
-Some burrs, not too bad though. You can easily get rid of those with a hand file.
