Hello all, I'm new here! Not sure what you want to know, but guess I'll just say that I have a cyma svd (which is coming in the mail, will be here in a week) a utg l96 (great ANOTHER one of those l96 guys...). I love sniping, sometimes with a ghillie (store bought one, since I don't have time of money to make my own) other time I just take the designated marksman role and run around. Let's see. um about me.. I guess?

I'm a HS senior.
Great with PCs
Built my own PC
Love me my vidyagames
um..

that's about it.
Foxes are cool. That's relevant right?

Welcome to the forums. Making a ghillie suit can be much cheaper than buying a store bought one. Just have to find the materials at your local hardware stores, as well as surplus stores, and you can build your own for a fraction of the price.

Welcome to the forums, sniping here isn't like it is in your video games, right?
Well with the shooters I play it kind of is (Red Orchestra 2, DayZ) my most played games tend to need the same tactics as ones you'd actually use when sniping.

Yeah, but most games aren't like that... Anyways, thank you again for joining and I home you enjoy your stay here at ASF:)
Thanks for the hospitality!
Welcome to the forums!

~ANOTHER of those L96 guys.

Ahhh. SVDs are great. I love my Real Sword svd to death xD
Video games can help though. Not in the way you may think though. Airsoft Awareness wrote an article on it. My most played game is TF2 and I can learn things from that game all the time.
And I also built my own comp. Currently needs upgrades and shtuff, but it was top of the line 2 years back. Runs great still :D

Anyways, welcome to the forum!

Thanks as always! Heard the RS SVDs are fantastic and feel very real steel. Ordering a clone of the RS (CYMA) tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have it before my next big event on Saturday. As for my PC, I built it last April :D I run a gtx 770 and an fx-8350 8 core. Something about video games that effects me in airsoft is the fact that I always unconsciously aim for the head when engaging :x For me most played game is DayZ.

I play Battlefield 4 if that counts... Not really, you have to play a more aggressive(COD) role, or you will be accused of camping and kicked or banned from servers. Thus sniping is pretty different than real life.
Yeah in the BF games you really have to take more of a fast paced Designated Marksman role instead of a Scout sniper.

Yeah, battlefield, for some reason, has been the only military game I have really stuck my teeth into as of now. I have over 300 hours in to it, I don't have a life...
Oh don't worry, I have over 500+ hrs into TF2 and I still have a life. It's quite possible to balance these things out.

As for comp specs. I complete forgot mine ages ago. I know that I run a quad-core since that's all I really need. Also I locked both of my screens in at 60 fps to have a steady fps and not have a high fps with buggy frame rate. Personal opinion really.

Why do your quotes keep on saying "snip," it's weird...
It's force of habit from another forum I tend to use. Makes it so you can quote someone but "snip" out their long quote so the post isn't crazy long. Long story short: force of habit.

Interesting, I genuinely like that idea!

:D
xD, see? All that ya need to do is delete what ever you need (and edit if you wish) what ever you need, to narrow it down to a single work, sentence or paragraph
