Hey my name is Reed, i'm from Southern California and I joined to hopefully be able to sell my rifle. I have been stricken with a few unfortunate incidents and that if forcing the sale. I figured i might as well let it go to a group of people who will appreciate it more than the regular joe on craigslist. I read the rules and in the mean time and am hoping the mods can have an exception to the 3 month buy sale trade forum law. Other than that i look forward to interacting with you all as i will still follow airsoft even though i cannot participate further.

I actually have been out of airsoft for a little over a year and I was thinking that I could start playing again after I was injured, but that is not really the case. I got hurt riding dirt bikes at a motocross track back in May of 2010. I shattered my navicular, 3rd and 5th metatarsals(toes basically) in my foot. I had to have an emergency surgery on my foot (Left) to repair the damage. The surgery lasted 6 hours and I left the operation room with 5 screws in my navicular, 4 screws and a plate fusing my 3rd met, a hole in my heel from where they took a bone graph, and a lovely external fixator sticking out of my foot.

This injury was extremely severe, the doctor said it would change my life and lo and behold here I am not able to stand for very long (after about an hour it starts to tighten up and become painful), run more than 100 yards max. It is actually pretty crazy that i'm able to do this considering the extent of the injury. I have severe osteoarthritis which may cause me to lose 90% of my side to side motion because i may have to have a second operation down the road to fuse the navicular-talus joint surface they rebuilt.

So that is the main reason I am getting out of airsoft, I am simply not able to run and jump around anymore without having my foot swell up like a balloon.

Sorry for the essay, but you asked. :)

Oh an I also have pictures that are pretty gnarly if you want to see, I figured I wouldn't post them due to the graphic nature, unless someone wanted....

That sucks man. I ride MX also, but don't race anymore due to time and money. Actually, I barely even go ride anymore. It's been months.

Yeah it is really expensive, but i can ride all day and not have any pain in my foot so i'm keeping that hobby. One thing I did to keep cost down was to pick up a 2 stroke instead, no worrying about valves and a top end is 80 bucks. =]

Yeah, I did that too a few years ago. Went through a ton of money and trouble with my '07 CRF250 and ended up selling it for a loss. Bought an '07 YZ250 and haven't done anything to it (hasn't been ridden too, too much though).

That's great that riding doesn't hurt any, but I don't see how it doesn't give you problems. Glad it doesn't though.
