I have a couple of homemade suits that are very nice and worn in, but I would be willing to part with them. I am looking to get a concealment vest because I want to be lighter when I snipe now.

Hey guys, I used to be part of a (now closed) sniper forum community many years ago. I stopped sniping years ago because I spent a lot of money on upgrades on my G-spec and it was horribly in-accurate. Maybe I just had a lemon, I don't know.

A few days ago I bought a TM VSR-10 that my friend has had sitting in pieces in his room for many years now. He doesn't play anymore and I was able to pick up his gun + a TM m16 Vietnam for 40$!

The stock on the VSR-10 was snapped in 2 pieces so I epoxied it back together. (surprisingly it is very strong) I spent a lot of time cleaning it and aligning everything and now it is shooting great! I took it out to my local field Saturday and with the gun shooting stock, I was able to put quite a hurting on the enemy team. I had so much fun sniping (now that I have a good rifle), that I decided to get back into it. So, over the winter I will be building an entirely new load out and throwing in a few minor upgrades. Since I'm an old timer and have been out of the sniper game for many years now, I will be picking your brains and searching through old threads to find the best set up possible, and hopefully giving some of you guys some good ideas and useful information along the way.

Expect a lot of pictures/videos, questions and updates from me on the forums as I work on this project to make a practical and efficient set up.

Welcome to the forum. You'd be surprised how little it takes to get that vsr accurate to 300 feet. Most upgrades you can get are focused on useability (like a z-trigger) or fps (like springs and pistons). The only things that matter in terms of accuracy are the hopup and the barrel, more so the hopup. Polish your stock inner barrel and get an r-hop and you will have great consistency and range.

I know nothing about polishing the stock barrel, that's something I will do some research into. Honestly I've never had a tightbore make much of a difference on my guns. I plan on making a project thread in a week or so that I will update and be working on for my gun. I already have some good little ideas brewing in my noggin. Glad to see there are helpful players here as well!

There is a guide for polishing your barrel somewhere, it is stickied. I used brasso instead of car polish because my barrel is brass and it was just what I had on hand. You'll see what I mean if you check it out.

Its great up here! Buffalo has some pretty large games, sometimes 200-300 players. I think over the years that has died out though. I haven't been out to buffalo in awhile. If you're ever headed back up through Rochester let me know. I host a lot of 36 hour games. I'm actually hosting a 36 hour sniper only game in the next few weeks. It's not the for the faint of heart though! Its 36 hours of straight gameplay, you pack everything you need on your back, eat your meals in game, sleep in shifts, etc. After the weekend most players are usually pretty beat up. lol

Hows the airsoft down in thorpe? I have been thinking about moving down that way. (Less gun laws) lol

Not much around Thorpe unless you drive about an hour and a half out to Harrisburg. Also a bit farther south there is some things, outside Philly and such.
