Hi, I'm kinda new to Airsoft, I've only played Paintball.
I own a Spyder MRX and as sidearm a KJW M9 (sounds crazy right? Having as sidearm an airsoft gun while playing paintball)
But returning to the topic, I'm here because I'm choosing between a KJW M700 (Gas) and G&G M14 (AEG)
I know that both replicas are different (bolt, and semi- full auto) but I will explain that later.
I want to start as Sniper-DMR role.
In my city, there's just one place to play airsoft, that place have four different fields, Woods, Urban, and two desert-themed.
The woods field Is like 220ft long & 50-60ft wide, The urban field is like 180-220ft long and 60-160ft wide. The rest of the fields are pretty small.
Note: this measurements aren't precise.
Normally I'm shooting the other team members at 80-90 ft Max 150 ft
Here is why I'm deciding between the KJW M700 and the G&G M14:
I first ordered the kjw m700, but because I live in Mexico I needed to import it with the help of an importer.
One day, i received the message that the rifle just arrived, I was so excited, but then the importer told me that he just noticed that he ordered the wrong rifle (G&G M14) and he just re-ordered the correct rifle (that was on feb 17) recently I sent a message to him asking for the KJW, and he told me that it hasn't arrived yet, and because of that, he offered me the G&G M14 (NEW) for the amount I paid for the KJW M700 (that's a good offer because the G&G is actually $80 more)
There are few things you need to know:
-I'm not planning to HPA the KJW, it's just way too expensive (plus importer fee)
-For the KJW I only could buy a tightbore, a new striker spring, apple airsoft CO2 Mag and the essentials (Bipod, scope)
-For the G&G I only could buy a m120 spring and the essentials (bipod mount, bipod, scope mount, scope)
-I want my rifle to be able to shoot with precision with the upgrades I can afford and to be the best for the kind of fields in my city.

It's probably that I'm moving to buffalo, tx in July-August. (Just for one or two years)
There I will have the possibility of getting more upgrades, but if I go for the m14, I can be able to buy a Better sniper, and I'm referring to the TANAKA M700!!! (Redwolf Airsoft) or a TOKYO MARUI VSR-10 with a lot of upgrading.

I will leave the 4 fields photo bellow.
And the links to the replicas.

-G&G G&G M14 Full Size Airsoft AEG Rifle - Black (Package: Rifle), Airsoft Guns, Airsoft Electric Rifles, G&G Standard - Evike.com Airsoft Superstore

Not sure if this is the right subforum but it's worth something that you've registered on here to ask. Getting an M4 first is usually good advice, but maybe you're a sniper... If you care about how many players you hit, get an M4. If you like the idea of deciding not to shoot someone who has no idea you've watched them for 5 minutes, get a VSR-10. There are several choices besides the Marui VSR-10, which is expensive and has a weak spring.

What do you like about the M700?

Thanks both for the response
RKS:
Thanks for your recommendation of starting with an M4, but believe me, i know i have the skills and patience needed for being a sniper.
What i like of the kjw is the Bolt-Action, Since i first saw "Saving private ryan" on 2007 i got interest in bolt-action rifles.
But maybe for the available fields in my city it is better the G&G M14, because is going to be kinda dangerous shooting people at 70-100 ft with the stock 550 fps of the m700 (usually we play just 10, two teams of 5)
But maybe once i moved to buffalo, there i can get a Tanaka, Tm vsr-10.

What i am thinking about is to take the G&G M14
slowly Upgrade it, and use it as DMR
And then, when i move to buffalo, get a better quality m700 style (tanaka) or a TM Vsr-10 and upgrade.

But, do you think getting the G&G M14 over the Kjw M700? (in terms of performance with just few upgrades like a tightbore and a bucking for the m700, and air sealing upgrades for the G&G)

I knew I wanted to do sniping too. The standard advice is to get an M4, because a lot of people end up disappointed with bolt actions. What I meant was that if you really know you want to do sniping, I think you should start with a bolt action.

I would pick the M14 over the M700 has a very small 11-shot magazine, but that M14 isn't really a sniper gun. AEGs make more noise and there is a split-second delay in firing ('trigger response').

This forum is much better than any other source for choosing a gun, so decide based on what's on here, and stick with it even if someone tells you how cool their Ares M200 is. I use a TM VSR-10 G-SPEC; VSR-10s are light, quiet and very easy to work on.

I've played with small teams in a field kind of like that. You won't get nearly as many kills as your friends, but the ones you do get will be awesome. Do you have a link to the site rules or do you know the maximum fps and minimum engagement distances?

Thanks for your opinion, actually for the m14 i can upgrade the trigger response (total $90) with a high torque motor and LiPo Battery, and with the other upgrades will be a total of $160 vs the $120 of upgrades for the kjw (no HPA)
In upgrades, the Kjw is the best for my budget, but really there isn't much difference in cost.

Now getting into the field rules, there are actually no rules for fps, only for engagement distance [7 m (paintball)]
The 4 fields are for paintball (that explains why so small), but they let us play airsoft, but the crazy thing is that sometimes we mix airsoft and paintball, bacause not all of my friends have an airsoft gun; also my friends (except for two of them) doesn't really take it seriously.
Maybe the Kjw mag capacity will not be a problem, and for the amount of people we play, with the G&G i will not reload in all the day.
But now what i really want is to take the best one for my type of game, and once i move to buffalo, think in getting into an airsoft team, and getting a competitive replica for sniping. (Tokyo Marui, Tanaka, etc)
Or just take the kjw and upgrade when i move to the U.S.

Don't buy the M700 if you don't want HPA. Green gas and propane suck.

I wrote a guide explaining all of the upgrades. Even with all of these, the M700 doesn't shoot perfectly.

If you want a bolt action rifle, buy the JG BAR-10 rifle and upgrade it. It will last longer, has more upgrades, and will always shoot better.
