Alright, so I was planning on buying a KJW M700 and throwing some upgrades into that, I even had some upgrades chosen to start off with, browsed the forums and everything. However, in recent weeks I have been working on a G&P GBBR M4 challenge kit. In light of Saturday's news (the receiver has Navy SEALs logos and stuff on it) I really feel like I should put most of my focus into that. (Yeah I know that sounds a little corny, I'm sorry lol :/ )

That being said, I DO have a JG BAR-10 sitting around, without any upgrades what so ever. Now, I am very partial to gas powered guns, for realism mostly, but on bolt actions for that nice, smooth bolt cycle. But the fact that I already have the BAR-10, has me thinking. Should I go with just upgrading that a little bit while working on my M4, or should I wait and go with the KJW?

First of all, I don't understand why you would spend extra on a gun with Navy Seal trades; its not like the extra money is going to benefit the familys of the recently deceased special forces.

Secondly, if you like the realism of gas guns, go with that and sell your JG Bar-10 to get some cash for upgrades. The KJW M700 is a great gun to use as an upgrade platform, although it does have a few issues that need to addresed right of the bat, like the often leaky mag or the unreliability of propane/green gas.

The first upgrade I would recomend for a gas sniper would be a HPA rig, otherwise you will never be satisfied with the results. Then you would want a new inner barrel, bucking and maybe upgraded striker spring and impact plates.

I actually had the M4 before the Saturday tragedy :/ I just bought the challenge kit to work on it, and it happened to have those markings. Sorry for the confusion there.

So basically, I'm wondering if it is really worth it to go for the KJW, especially at this time. I hear good things about what an upgraded springer can do, which is why there's a big dilemma, not to mention the KJW, just to buy the rifle and one extra mag, is already about $250. Where with the BAR-10, not only don't I have to buy the expensive mags, but I don't have to put together a HPA rig (which I have no idea how to do). I'm just looking to see the pros and cons, to see which outweighs the other.
