I have this thing:

I tried it out for the first time last time out and I was pleasantly surprised. I am pretty new to the world of concealement and so I always kind of assume people can see me. I ended up having a bit of a shootout with a guy, and to cut a long story short he said afterwards that he had absolutely no idea where I was until I stood up.

It is a pretty nice alternative to face-paint and breaks your face up more than a wrap, my only critiscisms are:

1) The mesh, dispite being very fine is slightly visible in front of your eyes and I found it annoying when I was trying to see as clearly as possible

2) It doesn't turn quite as much as your head, so sometimes when you look round you end up looking at the inside of the leafy bit!

3) For the best effect it needs to be put on over the top of your goggles, making clearing them or adjusting them tricky.

I did consider cutting the mesh bit out of it so solve problem 1 and 3 but I don't want to ruin it.... I have a love-hate relationship with it, it's very very good at hiding me, but I'm always aware that it's there which takes the edge off my concentration on the game slightly...

Hope this helps.

I feel sorry for your eyes dude. No way in hell will i ever wear those mesh goggles. All it takes is one low quality or Faulty BB to shatter when it hits that mask and now you have sharp plastic going into your eyeball. I know you may say its a long shot but so is winning the lottery and someone always wins. Ill stick with my Bolle Goggles and protect my eyes as i can not replace them.
I have been using mesh for three and a half years as has 25 other guys I know who have been playong for longer, and a few guys who play CQB with mesh for the past two years, and I have never, ever seen nor heard of a bb fragmenting when hitting the mesh. ONly ever on the internet.

Another point is, you cannot get shitty BB's in Ireland, we all by our BB's from our local field or from an Irish shop because shipping would be too much. So crappy china brands or crosman etc. American brands are not available to us.

And I actually use bolle googles with a mesh put onto them + The mesh is in a design where it is very hard for any BB fragment to get through mesh. BTW I've only ever seen BB's split in half at most.

I also use goggles from time to time, but I hate the way they fog up.

Lastly, I play in Ireland. The limit here is <1J..... BB's generally don't crack at that speed.

If you still don't beleive me that mesh is fine for Eyepro atleast use it for your mouth. People have lost teeth (Maybe not you Worst but I know several that have chipped or broken a tooth due to it, and that's at a 1J)
And it's best to keep a full smile >:D

Point proven enough, rant over.

One of my teammates got taken out by a sniper and the top half of his tooth broke completely off. I'm sure the only thing stopping it from breaking any further was the metal wire behind his teeth from where he used to have braces.

Does anyone here with experience or a friend with experience know if a shemagh would work?

yup that's exactly what I was talking about and good to know that it fogs the scope!
I'll definitely be trying out your mesh ghillie mask!

I'm not afraid of face shots :p I have taken a 0.40g blaster devil to my mouth, result=bb cracked in pieces, teeth took no damage.
I prefer facepaint, my boonie, and my goggles, sometimes I use shemagh too. I'm thinking of getting those teeth protection things that boxers use.
Wtf are your teeth made out of,lmao.. I got shot in the teeth and the only thing that happened was that my teeth exploded! I now get to look like a old crackhead! Yay for me! 3 missing lower front teeth and 3 upper front teeth broken away and I cant even afford to do anything to fix em yet... Chicks dig dudes with broke skagley teeth! Lol.. NOT! And I really dont have the courage to show ya'll right now cause I am so damn sensitive about what happened and how they look now. Might be able to find old pics before they got worse after not getting fixed.. I was all ghillied up,me and my KJW.. then comes along a dude with a classic army m16 trying to scare me from my hide, not knowing I was already gone,he shoots the ground to scare me from under the bridge. Little did he know, I was just feet from him "10ft roughly" and when he lit up the ground "my freaking mouth was the ground he shot!!" I guess in a way my old yarn ghillie was effective, just wish I had some, ANY sort of mouth protection! And of course! Did I learn my lesson?? Sort of, I use a gator mask sometimes.. most of the time not,but I sure dont bare my teeth when I play anymore.. or at all for that matter! Lol.. Heck,I rarely even talk to people anymore..

Always wear some time of mouth protection. Try to find a lower mesh mask that fits more snug to your face.
I agree! And this happened before mesh lower masks came out,lol.. I make my son wear a mouthguard, I plan on both of us having the mesh face masks soon. Its always better safe than sorry... And trust me! Lmao.. I am way passed the sorry stage. I would rather look like a dork with a full paintball mask than look like a dork for the rest of my life with busted up teeth.. too late now though..

I use camo facepaint. I find that it works better because it hides all of your skin better than a scarf. that said I do also wear a shemagh wich I pull up to protect my face when the BBs start flying my way. If you put camo face paint around your eye area and wear a scarf of some sort its a good balance between concealment and protection.
