If I can, I use wet ash to cover my face. Before the game, take some old newspaper, burn it. mix it with water and slap it onto your face. Not only does it make your face (surprisingly) ashen pale, but works as an insect repellent.

Once mixed, you can carry some in a small plastic bag to renew once the layer wears off.

I will definitely have to try that. How much water do you mix with it? And how much newspaper do you burn to mix with the water?

Here in NJ mosquitos laugh at all bug repellants I have tried so far. At least for me. For other people any old repellant works. It's my curse lol. Might as well give it a go because I'm dying here will all these bites.

Try the deep woods off. Its the one of the most readily available "heavy duty" sprays. But you have to be on point with the stealth otherwise a downwind enemy might smell you! No joke.

That's why I don't use bug spray during games. I won't be having an official game for a while but I can prepare for it. As for the "ashen pale" color, how dark would that be in comparison to dirt? For games I normally tale a little mud and smear it on my face because I'm white so I stand out a lot in my ghillie.

Lol. Well I don't have that problem lol. But my brother says my sweaty brown forehead( Louisiana heat) gives me away sometimes.

That southern heat aint no joke! While I was in Mississippi I felt like I was going to die from that heat , even in the middle of winter it was HOT! I will have to try that ash idea cause I dont like bugspray on my face. I like camo paint and since I wash my face with dang near boiling water and soap to get it off, I dont worry about acne. Its kinda hard to get it out of my facial hair though. I remember a few years back after a game I thought I got all the paint off my face and goatee. I later saw I had a freaking green beard,hahahaha.. It didnt come off as expected and I went out to dinner with a green beard and didnt notice till I went to the bathroom in the restaraunt,lol..

Hahahah right!! I was like Oh crap!!?? I cant believe nobody said anything to me.. "Hey you A hole, your beards brown, gray and green!". I dont think the ole lady even noticed, it wasnt really a well lit restaraunt. The bathroom sure was though! I stopped using that oil based paint and started using halloween face paint. Its water based. I found green and brown..
