Interesting design but it looks even less adjustable than the r-hop. I agree with apple that r-hop is still superior.

I agree being able to adjust is the way to go so I was thinking its still possible to use the adjuster. I see this as a cheaper version OF the R hop really. Depending on what other materials that could be used. I found a wide rubber band in my box O crap and its nice and soft with a good grip like feeling that I was considering using instead of cutting up a bucking.

I thought about that but immediately dismissed the idea. It seems to me it would wear out incredibly fast, especially with high fps setups. Rubber bands are not designed for their durability.

Its not like most other rubber bands I have seen. It soft and like a gooey sorta. I cant explain it,lol.. But it reminds me of them huge wide blue one we used to get wrapped around the sunday paper back in the day before internet. I think I may try it just for shits and giggles. I will see what happens and give a report. I will try one with and without an adjuster arm and nub.

While I like the ingenuity that went into this, it does have several flaws.

Cutting the bucking requires extra room for it to be glued to the side of the barrel. Many chambers won't like this, as they're already pretty tight around the bucking. Using something like a rubber band is even thicker, and will have even less room.

The extra long wings do help with a problem the G-hop had, with it ripping off and jamming in the barrel. The extra contact keeps it in place.

There are ways of fixing your hop, but I don't believe this is the way to do it. I see pinching being a problem, having it too tight and giving too much hop. I suppose once you get a feel to it, you wouldn't have to redo the hop so often. But then you're locked to one specific bb, which is a problem imo.

Star, I believe as long as we get the chamber tight enough, this "gooey" rubber band ranger told us about woukd just squish and maybe even create a better air seal. As for having it too tight, it just takes experimentation. We were talking about adjustment, and we said that is a problem already, and ranger will report back with the results when he tests it.
