I was playing CQB the other night only 4 of us and I had some time to think whilst playing and I had a sudden realisation as to how I play the game in general. I don't know how this hadn't crossed my mind before but I was amazed at how I would continuously use this tactic over and over again.

For example I would run maybe 3/4 up the field and then sit in a corner and wait for an opponent to walk into my cross-hairs instead of me trying to engage them on-the-fly. Despite using the tactic over and over again in different situations it is actually extremely unpredictable and hard for the other opponent to adapt to.

Now thinking back out onto the field I realise I do this as well. Run up and hide and wait for the opponent to come to me.

Anyways I was curious as to a general play-style that you guys use when running around having fun!

AJAX rolls.

We go staggered formation until we encounter resistance. Then we open up into a line and push. Sometimes the farthest right and left guy will flank a little but normally it isn't nessisary.

Holding a base, DMRs in the back, bolties hidden right outside the base, and everyone else posted at overwatch positions throughout the base.

I go out with my spotter and call in enemy locations so my team and attack them head on. Then my spotter and myself get behind them and pick off the most important people....

Main targets.....

Leader of the attacking squad
Medic
Radio guy
Guy with the "big gun" ( M60, M249)
Then we just have fun with the rest Kind of like a cat playing with a field mouse...

My favorite thing to do is take my shotgun and put the VSR on my back, and as soon as the game starts go balls out straight into the enemy base. If I manage to stay alive, I set up a nice little hide behind the enemy team and start picking them off. Usually I am detected after there is a gang of ref's standing around me laughing with me at some of these kid's reactions to being shot from behind (Am I a bad person?). Anyway, it's all about having fun, right?

What I genrally do is aim my gun and shoot towards the enemy. That generally works well for me. But in case it doesn't I always carry a flamethrower so I can burn em' out. Sorry I am in a sarcastic mood today.

I normall Set up a postion on the flank and shoot across into the less dense woods.

ryan I would love to do that but everyone thinks that anything that moves in-front of them is a target for their AEG spray and pray so its generally team-killing galore for them. Pisses me off I flipped out at some team-mates the other day because they kept team-killing me and even after I'd called the hit they'd keep shooting "that moving thing"

Peyote, I've been killed so many times from friendly fire that it no longer bothers me. Most of the time it is satisfying enough to see the surprise on your teammates face when you turn around and start walking back to your spawn. They're like 0_0

I just find it unbelievable that they don't check their targets before emptying 190 rounds in one direction. Thank god none of them will ever step onto a battlefield with life rounds, I'd be scared shitless of my own squad-mates.

It irritates me when you have a prime location and your team-mates shoot at you other then that friendly fire is a given when you step onto the field with a bunch of gear heavy pumpkins!

Eh it bothers me when my teammates can't identify targets. It also bothers me when players have no trigger control and keep shooting even after someone has called hit and they put one hand up and the other is reaching for the dead rag.

I generally stay behind the AEG line and provide cover and spot enemies. I prefer slightly elevated positions and usually hide inside buildings or tall grass.

What I normally do is flank what ever side would be more comfortable for me. I would run as fast as I can and get right next to them. Then when they start to move up..... im right there. Countless numbers of bang bangs I get because they walk right past me.

I mainly just go out and do my own thing by doing a lot of flanking for surprise attacks. It's fun for me that way. I use my ghillie to my advantage, so normally my own teammates don't get close enough to see me unless I'm running in a sniper team, so I've never had the problem that Peyote has had.

Once I get a nice radio, I'll try to play more effectively by calling in enemy locations and being a team player.

Well I usually like to at the beggining of the game. To rush like haul ass to where I want to go. Then crawl from place to place Till I find a nice spot. Set up their and wait for the ambush. Then move on. Repeat.
