How to fix feeding issues with Mid Cap Magazines!

Everyone at some point at time has ran into that one Mid Cap Magazine that just won't feed! Well after hours of fiddling and filing which led to ruining a few mags... I've found a simple solution to fix feeding issues whether it's just on semi or on a high ROF set up.

So to start off you'll need one of these!

Flip it and take a look at the bottom for a flat head screw plate thing, go ahead and turn it so the line is sideways to the magazine and it'll pop right off. Careful the spring in the magazine might shoot the screw out!

After you pop off the plate you should be able to pull the spring out but be careful not to stretch the spring!

Now here's the issue with Mid Cap Magazines... this "header" pushes up the BBs in the magazine well but since everything isn't perfect the gaps between the header and the magazine well are uneven and the header can bend to one side and unevenly feed the BBs causing a jam! So all I did was pull the header right off! This is simply done by holding the spring about a coil down from the header and just pull the header until it pops off.

After you pull the header off go ahead and start putting the spring back in the magazine and screw the plate back on. Here's a comparison picture of what your magazine should now look like compared to a magazine with the header still on. I pick the magazine that fed the worst on of my collection and pulled the header off and it feeds perfectly, now whether this works with any brand I'm unsure but for the King Arms and MAG Mid Caps it is a great solution. But if it doesn't work for you and you're concerned about taking the header off you can always pop it back on.

Very nice! You m4 and ak guys are lucky with that access screw lol. G36 pmags... Royal pain to reassemble. I'll have to try this on my buddies ak mag as he has jamming issues. I'm unsure of the brand of his. Thanks for the write-up!
I've heard of ways to shape the follower with a slant, so the bb's will self-allign in the feeding tube.

Perhaps this should be a Sticky in the tutorial section?
