How to install PDI Hop-Up in TSD L96?

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to install my PDI hop-up unit into my TSD SD96B. A tutorial would be very nice :) Also, I have a 650mm 6.03 barrel and if you could tell me how to install that it would be greatly appreciated.

Alright well I am shooting with .30s, so what would it be with the stock spring now? 10-15 less? Whatever that doesn't matter, anyways I really haven't done too many modifications to it. I did stuff it full of memory foam though, and a suppressor that had come with my SCAR from some guy on eBay is custom made and it makes a cool air noise when you shoot it.

I'm sure it's just so quiet because of the stock spring, I am going to put in my M170 tomorrow, I will tell you guys how the noise is then. Also, I will take pictures of the target shooting with all of my springs from like 100ft, 150ft, and 200ft. With the 650mm installed.

The stock barrel on my gun is 515mm (weird), so I am going to order a barrel a little longer than that, just to try the grouping thing like you guys said.
IF YOU HAVE A STOCK (What came with the gun) TRIGGER BOX DO NOT PUT AN M170 SPRING INTO YOUR GUN. Also your 14 you'll barely be able to pull it. FPS is not everything, in-fact it is over-rated in terms of accuracy. Also a Scar silencer must look horrendous on an L96. It is called a poof noise btw not an "Air" noise. and it usually only changes the tone of the noise it doesn't "Silence" it.
Look - There is a full guide in what you should upgrade with your gun. The internals etc. It should be pinned in the others section. Also Then there are other guides such a my one on how to silence your gun. Post pictures of your gun in the gallery. I want to see how ugly the scar silencer is on the gun. I have a 9 inch wisha one on mine. It is like an enlarged p90 silencer.

If you're talking fps, no, more like 100 fps drop. This doesn't matter as explained countless times.

Ahh, don't do it! Gonna wreak those sears. Read up on gun mechanics. Unless you have a highly upgraded trigger, your guns won't last.

Why longer? Get one shorter, and we'll probably see a noticeable sentence.
And grass, hahahahaha! I'm almost caught up to you though... 301 posts!

I never said it was a Scar-type silencer, it's a normal cylinder shaped suppressor, nothing special. I could take some pictures if you actually want to see my gun. And besides I put an M170 in my gun before ANYTHING but the stuff inside the cylinder was upgraded (it worked great). My trigger box is VERY close to breaking but a V-Trigger is getting here tomorrow. I do have a stock, M140, M150, M170, and an M190. Which one do you guys think would be the best one to put in after I get the trigger.

My normal engagement range is probably 150-200ft.

P. S. - Not able to pull it back? Yeah okay.
No, you'll be fine. With the PDI hop, etc. you should be getting about 500-550 depending on other airseal stuff with the m150...

Just take note of this. Don't be ignorant and listen to the people trying to HELP you. If you order another barrel longer is NOT better. No more then 500mm.

If you want to break a stock trigger unit go ahead and upgrade the spring.

If you want a practical cocking that won't eventually break all stock and even some after market bits such as the piston. Go ahead and put in a m190. - BTW I am a 6'2" guy who does boxing, walking, surfing, sailing, canoeing and airsofting. If I am saying it is an impractical cocking at anything but a standing position then it is.

If you really want to use an m170 or above don't use .3g use .43g madbulls. Don't cheap out as a lot of .43g bb's are crap.

Also since you said you got it off a scar I assumed that it was a Scar silencer.

Also with an m190 spring the handle etc. at the back might even be worn.

Lastly the Memory foam only suppresses it to a certain extent. As does the washers in the silencer. For the whisper quiet you were describing you would wan't a gun like mine. With a cut spring. And before anyone asks. THIS LOWERS FPS.

I am not being rude but I am merely telling you to listen to reason when it is given to you by the more experienced players. And most 14 year-olds would struggle with an M190, even standing.

Well I am listening to you guys, but you are telling me the same thing over and over again. And you're SURE I shouldn't order a 510mm barrel? The stock barrel in my gun is 515, so that would be a little shorter... is that still no good?

And I know that the M170 was breaking my trigger box, so I opened it up and my dad is experienced with fixing air soft guns so he reinforced it so it would just hold in with the stock spring. And yes he told me that I am going to need to put in the V-Trigger if I want to use anything more powerful, because this one is a goner.

By the way, the M190 was a little tough in the beginning ::) But I took it out after two days because I didn't even like the results.

Prone = no chance
Crouch = a bit tough
Standing= easier as it progressed

BTW... doesn't the head mod play with a 650mm? Uh... Livonia?

510 would be usable. I'd use one. Not the absolute best though. 480mm to me would be the sweet spot. Also the reason why the spring is getting easier is because it loosens. Like, with my spring I can get 10 rounds down range in ten seconds easily. I know speed is not much when sniping I am just saying a slow recycle rate and the fact that the gun is usually left cocked for a few minutes does weaken things like the sears.

So yeah get a 510mm and sell that 650mm one quick. The only way you could use a 650mm barrel without loosing accuracy is by getting a bore up and maybe a bigger cylinder. The Real Sword SVD uses one that big but it has a specially modified gearbox to combat that.

EDIT: The reason why we are saying the same things to you over again is because you keep asking the same things or making the same mistakes that we already pointed out. Lol. Look back.

Oh, my bad
Hahaha yeah so I guess I will buy the 510 or maybe even 500 today with the new trigger.

No bother. Just remember to try and keep under 510. I Have a 445mm madbull barrel in mine.

I run a 590mm... But... that's the legit length of my APS-2. 590mm. Shoots 550 FPS. I wouldn't go pass the normal barrel length with ANY gun bud. That 650mm is for PSG-1's ;)
Your gun STOCK would shoot more accurate with a 500mm if it wasn't designed to use anything above.
Hmm... Sounds like you have some major spring degradation. I'm 15, and there is no way I can pull an m190. I'd have to see that to believe it. I'm not what you'd call weak either.

Point One: YES do not order a 510. If you really want to test, get a shorter barrel, like 450-500mm.

Point Two: 45* sears can't hold an m190. The piston will slip off and scar the cylinder. I really, really doubt this claim.

Thank you some more sense from my dear friend Awagg to sort out the BS. I am 16 and do boxing. I can pull a 100 pound bow easily to my cheek and still find it quite hard to pull anything around that power. You are 14.....so yeah. Also thanks awagg I didn't think of mentioning the sears (More in-depth that is)
Also, I really doubt that your dad could just "BAM, reinforced the sears" like that. What techniques does he use? He would have to have some gnarly equipment, like a carbidizer, or a heat treater? What are his techniques? Cause right now, this sounds like a heap load of BS.

And yes, the sears could never ever hold an m190. Even if he miraculously made them super strong, because we all know any ol' "airsoft gun tech" can do that, the 45* sear would slip and scar your cylinder, and slam fire. My BS radar is going crazy right now.

Pwned' - That is all.
Ok, this is getting out of hand. Let's all settle down, and get back on topic. This is about installing the PDI chamber in the L96. NOTHING ELSE.

Otherwise the topic will be LOCKED.

To the OP, do you have any other questions relating to the topic?
Well since I am being double-teamed here, and they think I have the M190 still in the gun when I have said that the stock spring is in it, and it began off topic from the beginning when someone commented on my barrel length... then no, I have no further questions :)

Also, I don't know what my dad did to help the trigger hold on. I didn't like stand over his shoulder and annoy him about what he was doing the whole time. He only made some mods to have it hold for like 3 days until I get my trigger. But, I really could show you a video of me pulling back the M190 with ease of you would realy like me to.
Now that the poor feller has his answers can't we continue the derail for entertainment's sake? I am trying to figure out how many posts it takes to get from "You are 14 and I am 14 1/2 so I am stronger than you" to "Yeah, but my nan could beat up your nan" and culminates in a glorious bonanza of "yer mum" jokes

Internet FTW!

Come on. Fuzzy said no posting unless it's got to do with the topic. And as I said I am 16 and do boxing and I say the m190 is a hard pull. Too hard for a 14 year old in my opinion. That is off topic though.

SO do you need any help?
