HPA Rig Questions

5873 Views 29 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  hidden187
I was wondering if a HPA rig would be better than a spring sniper. I am trying to decide whether to upgrade my spring sniper or get the KJW R700 and get a HPA rig with some other upgrades. Which one would give me better constituency in year round conditions and give me better range. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

There is a video game that calls the M700 an R700 ;) So we have a gamer on our hands that wants to be super leet.....

What kind of rifle do you have?
What up grades are you planning on getting?
What type of experience do you have?

Like hidden said, it all depends on what you want to do, and what company you want to buy parts from.

I have well over a grand in my L96. Between parts and everything it is really easy to go above that if you want. It is also really easy to spend very little but have an awesome rifle.
SEACH!!!!

Make an entry post....

Try and do some of the work for yoursefl man.... If you really want to play this role you need to learn how to look and do things for yourself. We are here to HELP you not give you all of the answers straigt up.

There are a few posts already on this subject, in case to the regs, and air rigs.

If you can't find the parts and don't know how things work with this rifle, it is only going to make you mad and turn you away from the sport. You sound like a kid that has been playing to much MOH or COD. So please PLEASE do some research.

If you do plan to do this route, plan to spend up to $700-$1000 + on the kit.
You are planning on getting the KJW M700.... ok good choice.
What up grades?
...... What inner barrel?
...... What bucking?
...... What type of air rig, as in the parts you are getting?
...... Do you have access to fill an HPA tank?
...... Are you planing on getting extra mags? and if so which ones?
...... Are you planning on putting any upgrades into the mags?
...... Upgrading the bolt?
...... What scope?
...... What type of HPA container are you planning on getting?
...... What ammo do you plan on using, going to go through a lot to find the right one.

Do you see where I am going with this? I am not trying to be a douche, but again it sounds like you haven't thought this out, and are not ready for what it all includes.

This is a subject that has been discussed before. Thus the reason for the search.

And you have said that you have done no looking on the subject.
You have yet to follow the rules of the forum.
We have no idea what your background is or what you are able to do.
We don't know if you are a 12 year old kid or a 35 year old adult.
We don't have any clue of your airsoft playing, or what not..

The last ones would have been easy to do if you followed the second one.

When we get alot of people on this forum that play video games and only want to mimic the game. This was pointed out when you called a Remington M700 an R700, this is what alot of modern games call the same rifle ;)

But again please do some searching on the forums, and others because I know for a fact it has been posted on ASR and ASF so many times it is stickied.

And post an intro post here on the forum, and then we can go from there.

Thanks Meteba and Hidden.

No problem man.... atleast you had the right mind to say sorry for it.... A lot of people wouldn't.
See we aren't so bad here

I was at drill when I wrote that and found out some bad news, so I wasn't in the best mood to start with, so I am sorry for that. But like fuzzy said, when you get a ton of people that just want the answer for there question, or what us to do all the work for them.... It really get annoying fast.

Take a look over at the Ninja products. You can get a 13ci tank with a reg for around $80. They are really nice. To adjust you just add or remove shims in the unit, so you can't adjust on the field. And once it is set it is set. Then all you would need would be a second reg to fine tune the pressure.

Why??

If you plan on upgrading the rifle anyway, why not start with a cheaper rifle, and one that already can take VSR barrels?

Save some money and get the KJ, nothing wrong with them.
The 450psi will get you down to a workable pressure. You then get a secondary rig to get it fine tuned.

With the ninja tanks you can get a shim kit. When used you can get the pressure down alot more.
You shouldn't be able to rupture the mag....... the fittings would probably be the ones to go first, or your bolt would spring a leak...
I would still say that the rings would blow before the cylinder itself.
