Ok, well for my new build, I'm going to be using a pdi raven 6.01 barrel. The barrel only comes in a full length vsr 10 pro sniper model. I'm building my rifle with basically a shortened g spec, but the barrel will need to be cut to about 350 mm. If I cut it, i'll be able to use my gspec barrel with a huge foam filled silencer, but if I don't, I'll have to use it with the normal barrel. So here are my two options.

1. Leave barrel normal length and with normal outer barrel.

2. Cut barrel and use in g spec barrel and make my gun super quite.

So i'm not sure is it worth sacrificing the 80 mm. to make my gun more silent. If it helps, the gun will be shooting around 500 fps.

Why not use it with the g spec outer with silencer where the barrel is 1/2 in the silencer.

I am. The barrel is a cut g spec outer barrel.

Get a Laylax 6.03 303mm!
It's only 30 bucks more.

I've heard the Laylax barrels are sub-par for the price. Get a different 6.03mm barrel... I'd recommend some, but I don't know your price range.

G spec 330 mm. Take the barrel and cut it to 450 and have it extend inside the silencer using the G spec outer. You can do something between 330 and 550.

The entire barrel will have to be 303mm due to the small size of the outer barrel. Rifle was made to just cover the 303mm barrel with suppressor installed

I ran a G spec with a 6.01mm / 500mm Inner Bull Barrel which was a Tanaka barrel cut down and re crowned. Ii fit inside the g spec outer barrel and stuck out into the silencer but did not go beyond the end of the silencer.

300mm barrel with 4 inch silencer (101 mm) is right at 500 mm barrel, add in an inch for the threads and what not and a 500 mm barrel does not stick out past the g spec silencer.


What you have to do is drill the end cap to let the barrel through though.

Yes the silencer was cosmetic at that point but I ordered some 6 inch long 1.75 diameter silencers that allowed me to put foam in and silence it AND have 500 mm barrel AND have the g spec look.

Not sure if that is an option for you but I am just saying you do not have to cut a barrel or use the std long non bull barrel. You can combine it.

For $70 you'll get a really good barrel of any size. Just look around.
