I am a Christian and I have something for you to listen to.

So I am not sure if many of you know but I am a full on believer in God. I believe that God sent his one and only son, Jesus, to die for our sins so we could have eternal life.
I had an experience in my younger years where I died and I saw things that made be believe. These things scared the living daylights out of me. To know how real God is and how much we fall short of his standards and to know how sad this makes him, changed my life. Previously, I used to scoff at Christians but this changed my life to be the opposite.
Anyway, I know a lot of people who play airsoft are also Christians and so I thought that I would put this link up here for those of you who believe in Christ (It is also good to listen to even if you do not believe). It is the most downloaded sermon ever (according to SermonAudio.com) and it is amazing. Even if you are a believer but not into listening to sermons, I would say, listen to the first 10 minutes and then if you do not find it interesting, you can stop listening. But, I am sure you will continue to listen. It is an amazing word that he speaks. This could change your life.

Thanks for sharing this 1tonne. It's nice to see a fellow believer on the forum. At first I saw the title of the post and thought is was some spam bot, but I saw it was a well known member and it made me glad to see you putting this out there. Paul Washer is pretty direct, the only sermon I've seen from him is his one on pornography, which was sent to me by a friend. All I can say is he doesn't hold back haha. One of my favorite pastors is Mike Winger. He has a lot of fantastic sermons and also hosts a questions and answers podcast every Friday. Very smart, kind, but will say it like it is. Thanks again for posting, I pray it reached someone. I love airsoft, but a strong foundation in Christ is infinitely more important.

Mike Winger is good.
Ray Comfort is also a goodie if you want to learn how to evangelise. He shows big flaws in evolution and he does it in only a few minutes. Well worth the watch if you have not.

Also, this is another one from him. It will make you think. I have never heard of the case against abortion put like this.

Last one that I like a lot is a fuller named Cliff Knechtle. He answers a lot of apologetics. Well worth the watch and he is pretty much to the point. He proves the Gospels a lot. Really intelligent fuller.
TV Episodes - YouTube

I normally watch one or two of these a day. He does great work even though people give him a lot of grief. And another good thing about him is he is from New Zealand :)
I believe that one of the first things people should be taught when they first believe, is how to spread the good news. This includes showing that God is Loving but Just. So there is a bad outcome for those that do not repent and believe but for those that have faith in Jesus and turn from their sin, they will have life.

If you really are @1tonne and not some hacker, riddle me this:

1) What AEG of what brand did you use to make the most silent AEG ever?
2) Using .43 gram BBs in a VSR10 in an Action Army cylinder, what length barrel should you use?
3) What were you shot by in your youth?
4) In 2019, you got your longest ever kill streak. What was it?
5) What is the difference between a zero trigger and a 90 degree trigger.
6) What are the best airsoft goggles you have ever used?

I'm with Blackdog this seems off and 1tonne doesn't normally write in this style, think his account is comprised. Seems way to pre prepared, preachy and click this link to be right.

Highly sus.

Would suspect that @FMP Airsoft's account may be compromised.

@FMP Airsoft, riddle me this:
1) What problem did you have with your Gate Warfet that you thought was because your battery was too big?
2) How many hands are required to disassemble a V7 gearbox?
3) Which stock are you working on and what software are you using to model it?

@BlackDogAirsoft haha it is me. Just don't talk about my faith much. With the Gate Warfet, my gun was firing multiple shots on semi, however this was actually a result of a jammed sector gear and a high amount of friction. Disassembling a v7 gearbox only requires one person, but you'll have a lot of trouble putting one back together without two due to the lack of a quick change spring feature. Right now I'm designing a stock similar to a Magpul PRS, using Fusion360.

Happy?

Very much so. Got really worried for a second there that the forum had issues with hackers. Sorry if I came off as rude.

Also @BlackDogAirsoft the first message seems more prepared, but you can tell it's not a bot and genuine responses in 1tonne's second message.

1. Army Armament Styre AUG
2. 430mm
3. Pellet gun
4. Between 80 and 120. (Lost count but I killed someone every 30-40 seconds. Rocking)
5. Zero Trigger has Ball bearings on the sears while 90 degree is metal on metal
6. FMA Fan Goggles.

Wow. I just authenticated myself. :)
I guess, in life I can put on different hats. At work I put on a work hat, with my children I put on the "dad" hat and with my wife I put on the "husband" hat. But still not compromising my beliefs while wearing these different hats. When I am on the forums here, I put on my "airsoft mechanic" hat and since it is a dedicated airsoft forum, I tend not to mention my knowing in God. (Notice I said "knowing". That is because I am 100% convinced that there is a God.)

Thanks. I guess I'm so used to everything here being so focused on airsoft that I forgot that this is pretty much exactly what the lounge section is for.

Still a little out there. I was tempted to look at your access logs to see if you had indeed been hacked. But due to the subject matter, I thought it was quite strange for someone to hack an account here and post such a topic. Especially in the "correct" location.

Personally I think religion should stay out of Airsoft, this is a sport that regardless of background, faith, etc treats everyone equally we are all slightly anonymous in our protective equipment and just out to have some like fun with our toy guns all around the world.

The statement that 1Tonne made about if you don't believe and repent is not particularly welcoming and is open to trigger/provoke people of other faiths or no faith.

As I said this is just my personal opinion.

This is designed to be an off topic zone in the forum. I don't see the issue with triggering discussion. I think we can all be mature enough to not act like snowflakes and get provoked at the smallest things. Questions and discussion are good to have because they lead us to the truth and present multiple views. Discussion is the coliseum within which ideas battle and only the best survive. As Socrates is credited with saying, "the unexamined life is not worth living." Let the lounge be what it is, and don't shut down discussion just because you disagree with it. I believe that having offensive discussion is less damaging than the prohibition of such. May the truest and most Noble ideas win.

For me the 2 go hand in hand. The reason Sheed and I made our club was so that Christian young men could have a bit of fun getting together and play cowboys and Indians. We also made it so that we could get to know people and then tell them about God. So without my belief, our club would not be going and we are one of the biggest clubs in New Zealand. My being is to honour God. He said to go out and to tell people of him and so that is what I have to do. So airsoft is only a means for me to tell people about what I believe. As I said in the first post, I had an experience were I died and saw stuff that amazed me. It changed my life forever. If what I saw was real, which I believe it was, then it is my obligation to tell people about the reality of God and how just he is and it is also my obligation to tell people that there is a way out. Which is trust in Christ and turn from your sin.

But anyway, it was in the off topic area (The Lounge) and my title was pretty clear. So I was not hiding what the thread was about. So if someone is not interested in this type of thing, they would see the title and not click on it.
