Well guys, I got the 96 from my buddy like I hoped for. But once he handed it to me I was in shock, I never actually saw the AGM 96 before and I like it but I am also slightly disappointed it wasnt the Well or Utg brand for the 90 degree sear setup. This one looks like its just a Vsr in a 96 stock. After opening it all up I see its not but it sure looked that way till it was opened up. All in all it seems like a decent rifle though. I will take some pics later, I am currently changing some things.

What are your Opinions on the Agm 96?

I had the Utg when they first hit the market and LOVED shooting it. I didnt like the bolt being out as far as the Utg's did. It was so much due to me not liking it, I just couldnt use my hardcase anymore and wasnt going to make a hole in it so the bolt handle could stick out a little. I ended up ranger rigging up a Vsr handle to work. I am still more partial to the standard style stock like the Vsr. It just feels more natural to me. I do have to say an L96 Sbr makes my chest beat harder,lol.. Kinda as much as looking at an M24.

I have figured out why he just gave it to me though. The cylinder head cannot be screwed all the way in or else there is a decent sized gap between the air nozzle tip and the bucking. I took a few shots and I got excelent accuracy at a foot/foot in a half,,lol... So I uncrewed the cylinder head and wrapped the living crap out of the threads and got it where they meet up perfectly and then wrapped the heck out of the thing some more. Getting the teflon tape to get in between the last threads and the cylinder "not on the cylinder though" and its a major improvement! I cant quite send 40's very far but 25's are just too light. Hopup all the way off and them 25's zing up at 20 foot or so. I have to dig out the 36's to see how them work. It just too dang hot out today and I honestly dont wanna go out,lol..

Maybe you can score another one for parts later. Hah, nice job! You can probably get it running pretty nicely with the DIY stuff.

Right.. I love buying rifles that need work and fixing em up and finding them a good home,lmao.. I have gone through, just this year alone... 3, g36 c's, an Ak and a P90. I have now 2 Bar 10's, an M28 and now an Agm,L96 and an Ak. All also gotten just this year "except the Ak, I have had about a year or so" I will browse various boneyards and forums till I find a new cylinder. I have a feeling someone messed up the threads and cut it shorter. Its a shame one of my spare cylinders wont fit this. I also would like to get back my Wall 0 guns,lol..
