lets see, I am 17 and in my senior year of high school, I play mostly backyard games, and want to get into sniping because I already play that way, and pretty much just need the rifle... oh, and I know v2 mechboxes like the back of my hand, that m4 was a pain.

Welcome to the forum and if I were to make an introduction before I got my sniper and started going to fields, this would be the same info about me, except it was a G36's v3 gearbox that was a pain for me.

Anyways, enjoy your stay and if you are unsure about what to choose for a rifle, there are plenty of threads and knowledgeable people here that can help you come to a reasonable decision.

thanks, I am planning on getting the hatsoku (sp?) m40, I like the realism of it and the fact that it takes vsr10 upgrades

Seems like a pretty good gun and VSR parts are easy to come by from what I hear. I haven't really heard a lot about this gun, but I think there was a thread made about it recently. It's called the Hakkotsu M40a3 (はっこつ, it's a Japanese company)
