Hello all,
Been in the range game for a good number of years, whether through accuracy by accuracy or accuracy by volume. SAW gunners are just volume snipers after all. Anyway I’m both a collector and a player, meaning I have far too many guns and only use a core few. I live in the SE US and go to mostly MilSims as there aren’t any local fields near me as far as I can tell. My long range weapons include a Careful VSR-X in a Springer Custom Works SV-98 chassis (SV-98X), a Wolverine Bolt VSR, a Nov SSG96 an Army buddy bought, hated, and gave to me, a custom lever action converted to HPA for the Wild West memes, a Junkiez SR-25, a Polarstar M107 for the memes, a VFC 417 AEG, and my custom VFC G28LE/417a2 build (two uppers for battle rifle/short DMR and full size G28 DMR). The SV-98X and 417a2 configurations see the most use, while most of the others shoot cans or targets out on the farm or range. Long time lurker first time poster; I look forward to becoming more involved in the community.

Welcomr aboard. Wanna see your M107 in action :D
Heh, the things sat on a wall for, like, literally 4 years at this point. That one pic is from TCA's Op Stonebreaker 2017, and that may have been the last time it was used. Its the type of gun that, if I had a local field, Id show up with every month or so for the memes - but literally I think the closest place is like 2 hours-ish from me and very heavy woods - the kind that a sniper can vanish in but also the kind that you can stand in no mans land in a bright orange vest and watch sniper shots ricochet in every direction from hitting the zillion small vines, branches, etc in the way. I also rarely run snipers at Sims as - while I can enjoy it for awhile - at some point Id rather grab a SAW and become a volume sniper again. With the exception of the SV-98X and lever action my snipers and DMRs were all started when I lived in Florida - lots of nice, open sight lines and trees with minimal undergrowth to work around. Now that Im up in the mountains youve gotta fire 30 rounds just to get a single one to the target's area.

Cool looking camo what pattern is that?
Well, which one? I assume you’re talking about the first photo, which is commonly referred to as Tropentarn - a German high altitude and arid environment uniform. It used to be called Wustentarn and Tropentarn was just the name of the tropical cut of Flecktarn - the green German pattern that’s much better know - but in the past few years the Wustentarn name has faded out and now people just call the desert version Tropentarn.

If you meant the other patterns, well there’s the one with my VSR that’s ACU (aka the Military Minecraft Character Cosplay), then the tan-pattern is Kryptek Highlander. I do also run Flecktarn, three or so different Russian kits, USMC kits, I’ve got a Chinese kit inbound, I’m working on a downed Huey pilot kit, etc etc. Rarely do I wear the same thing twice in a row.
