I will make a new thread with more choices given as I didn't know you couldn't have more than one polls
What is the "Poll" question here?

Are you asking what small arms would we use if we ran a private para-military orginization?...

If so, there are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many things to consider. However, in terms of a "standard" issued small arm; I'd go with a Magpul Masada and the Sig p250.
No like if you could make all the decisions for a military for like Kenya or something

Well... in that case... they're doing fine with AKs...
I voted:
sidearms: Glocks
Rifles: Other: H&K G3 !

Nothing beats the 7.62mm !

Those would be my second choices Wolf
Mine are AUG and Micro Uzi converted to .45 acp
Glocks, because I love them. ;)

And I would go with an ACR because they have such an effective anti-recoil system and you can change the calibre from 7.62 to 5.56.
IMHO a rifle devoted to one cartridge is better than one that designed to use everything.

A good alternative should be the KAC SR25K... Again in 7.62mm.
I love 1911's I can't say that are appropriate for an army... I would use the Glock21 if I needed a .45 cal.

I love the Armalite AR-10s, but they need a recoil pad. The sidearm would have to be a 1911, not in .45acp, but in .38 super.
There are many different versions of the M4 as well ;) though I would love to have an M14 up there though.
Kalashnikov all the way!

I screwed up and didn't vote for a handgun choice, but from a military reliability standpoint I would choose the Glock.
No one has said a Mk.23 yet! I thought that would be the weapon of choice for many.
Your military would go broke with an H&K contract.
MiloXC3 will be co-producer on MK23!

They can also be chambered for the 6.8 Winchester SPC.

I'd have to go with an H&K G36, and an M1911.
Let's be honest, as much as I love the .308, and .338, the better choice for assault, and riflemen would be the 5.56. It's very accurate, and an 8-month old can handle that recoil. I chose the G36 because, well... H&K. It's so much more practical than an M4/M16, or other AR variants. The ambidextrous bolt handle, and selector make it very convenient for any one to use.(The M4's design is retarded. you have to take your hand off the trigger to load it.) The G36, is also much more reliable, and has over 1.5x the effective range of an M4. Maybe I'm just a G36 Fanboi. Not that I don't like AR's I love them. but they're not as practical.
For a pistol, either a sig p226 or a usp tactical.
For a rifle, either a HK416 or an acr of somesort.
The G36, is also much more reliable, and has over 1.5x the effective range of an M4.
Really? If both are chambered in 5.56 NATO (standard for those rifles in their military variants), what magic does the G36 use to achieve 1.5X range using the same cartridge...? I could agree that the piston vs gas tube design is superior, though.

G36

M4

And using the word retarded is, well- retarded. Just an opinion. You're free to say what you wish, but it's a matter of presentation, presentation, presentation...
assaultrifles: H&K 416 & DMR H&K417
Snipers: Ashbury .338 Lapua Magnum & Tikka T3 Tactical .308
Sidearms: Sig P226 & P229
SMG: H&K Mp7
MG: M249 para

Awesome guns & really reliable.
