Yes, it should.

By the way, what kind of hop upgrades do you have in it?

Standerd Hop Up, any changes that should be made?
Upgrade the hop before you upgrade the spring, but that can mean just shimming it.

would that do just fine?
I don't think it's neccessary to run a 170 spring. I ran a 170 in a Bar-10 for about a year its really hard to pull, creates alot of wear on the bolt, and wears YOU out quite fast. I think, unless you are looking specificly for around the 550FPS, you should go with a 150; the bolt pull will be easier, and you will chronoing in at around 500fps. I would also recomend a Nine Ball Purple bucking, airsoftatlanta has them in stock.
That King Arms bucking doesn't last at all. The Nineball does, and is liked by many, although I personally prefer the stock ones, as do many others.

However, I don't so much recommend changing the buckings as I recommend tuning your hop-up. This can be shimming the arm, adding anti-flex plates to the slider, anti-blow-by rings for compression, modifying the bucking or arm, ect. Essentially whatever you must do to get the hop-up as consistent as you can.
An upgraded cylinder is a must, a freind of mine was running a stock cylinder and had the bolt attachment area break off due to the poor attachment design.
Since you will be running the zero trigger; the bolt pull on the 170SP spring will be much easier than when using the spring on a 45 degree trigger setup, as there will be reduced piston binding in the cylinder while cycling the bolt. You will be ok to run the stock cylinder for awhile with your proposed setup until you have the funds to purchase the Laylax cylinder.

Ok so buy the purple bucking and im good?
And what do you guys mean about "shimming" im unfamiliar with that word or what you uys are using it for.
Thanks for all the help!
I agree with bush...... don't really need the cylinder.

Though it can be a nice upgrade, you will be able to get by for quite some time without one.
And what do you guys mean about "shimming&quot

yes is there a guide for this at all?

Welcome aboard! Glad to have you with us. Please make an intro post so we can get to know you. ;)

Glad to have you with us, and hopefully we can get someone experienced with what you are asking and can help you out!

So, on the stock VSR/BAR hop up, there is the arm that pushes into the bucking. This piece will wobble back and forth, throwing off your hop up the tinyiest bit. What you need to do is buy some AEG shims (I use the Matrix ones, because they come in 1mm amounts) and make sure the hop up arm won't wobble left and right anymore.

And hey fuzzy, I haven't been here in awhile... how's your VSR nub project been going?
What FPS are you aiming for?

I have a (clone) zero trigger, laylax 150 spring, and I used silicone sealant to fix the rubber to the barrel (laylax 6.03), and teflon tape around the threads of the cylinder head and I am hitting about 510 or so with 0.2. The bolt pull is pretty easy to be honest.

Unless you want a lot more than 500 I wouldn't bother with a 170.
