op:Yea you can only search for words that have a minimum of 4 letters (anything less than that would be VERY server-intensive and cause problems).. but I thought you were maybe having other problems with it too.
But yea that's normal for most all forums...the search will always be a 4-letter minimum on words.

Weird, I just tried it with about 15 different words and it worked perfectly every time. *shrug*
