JG/ASP was at Shot Show with an SVU. Now this really caught me off guard as the only SVU I was told about came out in March and that was the NPO AEG SVU-AS (a Russian manufacturer) and I could only find that on one website and they had it listed for $500+. This JG/ASP SVU looks really nice, the video has been up since January 2015, and I've not heard a peep about it anywhere. I believe it uses a CYMA SVD gearbox but don't quote me on that.
Airsoftmegastore had a very brief 3 or 4 sentence article on it from Shot Show but that's all I could find. This is my dream rifle, and since you can't have one imported to the US and they were introduced post ban you'll never see one on American soil. This, this right here brought a tear to my eye. I had planned on slapping a Wolverine SMP in my MK12 Mod 0 whenever I got back in to the sport but if this SVU releases at a reasonable price ($200-$300) I won't hesitate to snatch one up, even if I can snag a boneyard one, and put the SMP in it instead.
Note: There's a video on YouTube if you want to watch it, look up Airsoft Pioneer SVU. The video is entirely in Japanese, no English. I can't use Closed Captions on my phone so I haven't used that feature yet. I couldn't link the video.
