First off, I am new to sniping. I recently bought a JG Bar-10 rifle. I like everything about it, except for the accuracy. I measured my shooting distances, and the rifle is perfectly accurate at 105 feet. However, at 150 feet, the rifle is very inconsistent. The scope has been dialed (at least, the best it can), but it is still shooting pretty bad. On occasion, I will have a shot spin off to the left or the right, hitting up to 10 feet away from the target. I've read that with this gun, I should be able to hit a head sized target from 150 feet. That is not the case. I am using .25 High Impact Crosman BBs. Is it possible it is the BBs? I doubt that, as they are seamless and appear perfect in shape. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, get yourself some better bbs. I recommend Bioshot .30-.32s for the stock rifle.

The spin off is caused by the hop up, which will need to be tuned. Do a TDC mod and obtain a better hop up bucking to fix this problem; there are plenty of guides for the TDC. Also, the Lonex bucking is superb.

Thanks! I'll try the TDC mod. Will Golden Ball .25 BBs work well with the stock rifle? I just bought some from Airsoft Atlanta.

Golden Ball should work just fine. I have not used them personally, but i know quite a few guys on here swear by them.

The TDC is a required mod in my book. It will fix 95% of the problems with the hop up, the other 5% is bucking and hop arm.

Speaking of hop arm you should replace yours. the stock arm will destroy your bucking.

What is the cost of a new Bar-10 compatible hop arm? I'm also a little hesitant to try the TDC mod in fear of damaging my gun..

arms are about $25.

I understand your hesitation for the TDC mod. I felt the same way. I finally got tired of missing shots due to the inconsistent hop. I have not looked back after doing it. You can find some people who are willing to do it for you, but that requires cash, time, shipping, blah blah blah.

I forgot, barrel spacers are a good idea as well. If you are going to buy some then they are between $10-$20 depending on brand, or you can just use tape.

Ultimately it is up to you on how you want to go with it. The TDC is a highly recommended by most people on here.

Thanks for the advice Plazma. I will definitely look into the TDC mod. If it improves accuracy, it's worth it. My shots are currently all over the place.

I also have another question. Experienced snipers: what are the differences between the Crosman .25 bbs and the Goldenball .25s? They are both the same weight, and are seamless.

Also, will my stock Bar-10 shoot the .25 Goldenballs accurately? Or do I need the .28s? Thanks.

You need more heavier bro, 0.3g is lowest, you can try 0.36 or 0.4g to see diference

I'd need .3s even with the stock rifle? It's shooting in the low 400s, if I had to guess. Would those BBs really affect the maximum range of the gun?

Yeah .3 minimum, don't worry about your fps. I've started using .3 in all my aegs, went from .3 to .4 in my bar 10. Tdc and a dangerwerx hopup arm will help a lot
Are the TDC and hopup arm the only upgrades you've done while using .3s? So no FPS boosters (springs, tbbs...)? And which improves accuracy more, the tdc or the hopup arm?

I have a Laylax 150 spring, action army trigger and piston, Laylax cylinder head, custom barrel and hopup patch (the builders barrel from on here) and .4 madbulls, we .36s seem to do better tho but I havnt tested it much yet between the two.

Ok thanks. I had no idea the bar 10 is that upgradeable. I think eventually I'll upgrade the spring and whatever else I need to accommodate the power increase, whatever those parts are.

I heard some bad result from We 0.36g. You can try with Madbull instead ( or Guarder )

The bar10 is arguably the most upgradable rifle on the market. Currently, my rifle has nothing stock except the stock.

I'm sending mine in for a replacement. Not because of the accuracy, but every few shots the bolt gets stuck. And I mean stuck. (Lube didn't help.) It's not the stock or anything, it's just frustrating. Too bad airsoftmegastore is on the other side of the country. I'll have a new one in two weeks, hopefully. Until then, I'll just bring out the old G36c.
