JG BAR 10 Air brake Mod

Has anyone tried this and could they confirm if it actually increases FPS. Wouldn't it also shorten the life of the piston because it would hit the wall of the cylinder harder? Also, if you cut it half way, then would cutting it only 1/4, leaving 3/4, increase the FPS just a little bit?

If you don't know what I'm talking about, watch this.

It does work.. BUT and its a big but JG Bar 10 internals are weak as it is with the stock spring it comes with so more power is just going to destroy things inside it stick with what you have at the moment its like 400FPS stock isnt it? Im pretty sure thats good enough. Buy a spring guide / sears etc so your rifle can take the power.

I was told if i want a 130SP spring for my TM VSR G-Spec which is about 350+ FPS with 0.20's that i would need a spring guide for that and thats in a TM which are known for their great internals.
