Well since I have most of my internal upgrades on their way it is time to start the hunt for a stock to start cutting up.

This is what I'm hoping to achieve when all is said and done.

I plan on CnC'ing a lot of the parts the only thing I don't plan on making is the pistol grip.....

Did you have to reinforce the body?

That was the original one I was looking at but I have since found one for $12 and my plan is to have a reinforcement rod run down it and fill in with epoxy so $75 is kind of high.

I'm also looking at a few design changes since I have access to someone that can CnC parts for me and I'm thinking of making my own wood stock like I saw on another thread in this forum...

Yes, however elements grips have been known for being crap, not digging on your choice I am just saying that king arms is a way more respected brand and as I am (hope to dear god) sure you know what is cheap is not always right. And for the stock I am not sure that wood is the way to go on this one, you should check out a magpul pts stock instead.

95% of this gun is gonna be custom work or as in the case of the pistol grip highly reinforced. The whole process is to make something unique not a conglomeration of parts. I'm working on a new design that may do away with the pistol grip altogether hence why wood has come into play. Another thought process is to build the mock up stock from wood then get it machined from a solid block of ABS with aluminum parts for the working and connection points.

I still need to find a VSR or BAR-10 stock to start my work up from.

you could just buy the echo 1 asr and have all of the external work done for you.

I saw that and that is part of the reason behind a new redesign....

Still in the design stage but here is a new concept....
