Hey everyone, I'm brand new to this page and my name is Mike! I recently just got back into airsoft through a few friends and am loving it. I just bought a JG Bar 10 G-Spec a couple weeks ago and have done the following mods:

6.03 inner barrel
Angel Customs Piston
Action army M170 spring
Angel Customs Sear set
Insulated barrel for less vibration
Maple Leaf spring guide <---- (this is the issue)

I've been able to successfully put everything in besides the spring guide, when I put the guide in it doesn't let me cock the cylinder all the way back and click to let me know it's been loaded, and a BB will fall out the barrel. When I put the stock spring guide back in, it works fine. Any ideas? The new m170 spring fits very snug over the maple leaf spring guide, I tried sanding down the guide so the spring fits easier but didn't really work, but the spring fits perfect over the stock spring guide. More importantly, do I really need an upgraded spring guide? Thanks for reading and any help would be greatly appreciated!

If the maple leaf spring guide is longer than the stock spring guide this may be the issue. I would either get an Angel custom spring guide to fit your piston better or just use your stock spring guide.

It is longer by a few millimeters, but is also wider. Theoretically would I be able to sand down the maple leaf guide so it's the same length as the stock one and have it work? If not I'll just buy another one but worth a try before I spend more money haha

You can try to sand it down but if it doesn't work just get a different one .
