Hello internet! I have been playing air soft for a while now (6 or 8 months), and am very interested in buying and becoming a sniper.

I have read in many places that most/all stock snipers are bad unless you are willing to upgrade and mod them to your liking, which sounds like a great summer project to me! Personally I was looking at the BAR-10 which seemed like a great upgrading platform/beginner sniper rifle to purchase, and at $124 including a scope, its a steal!

Now come the upgrades

Due to this sniper being relatively bad stock I would want to upgrade at least the Barrel to a fairly decent upgrade such as THIS

(I read about Edgi and such's barrels but they are a bit to expensive for me as a kit can be over $300 etc.)

Also a Hop up upgrade would be in order (accuracy before power) but I don't have one picked out yet, (was looking into nine ball and they seem like a good option)

Now only this would provide me with a decently accurate sniper (I think) but I would also like to do some DIY air seal upgrades like a Teflon mod or whatever but I know very little about these (obviously).

Is this a good plan? And what DIY mods are good to use? I am primarily looking for only accuracy mods/upgrades but I know that some of these will inevitably give some more fps which I am not opposed to. As for a final product I don't need the rifle to be able to shoot a football field in range or kill someone, but merely out range some AEGs and let me have some good accuracy to snipe people with.

ANY help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much! I have found both the AA chamber and the maple leaf bucking. Do both of these parts work? Also is there any other places to buy an AA barrel as the only place I found that sells it is IDO tactical and I would rather buy off a larger site. Thanks!
Actually the bucking you found is an AEG one. You need VSR style bucking like this. Also don't forget the proprietary nub.

Hey you and I are gonna be rocking similar set-ups, let me know how it goes. All my parts fly in tomorrow woo!

Also I'm not sure if someone already mentioned to you before but, the first upgrade you're gonna wanna get is a Zero Trigger set-up with the matching piston. The Bar-10 stock trigger box/sears isn't very reliable, so it's better to replace it now than later. :)
