Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum and had a question...
What exactly is the difference between a JG VSR-10 or JG VSR-10 G-SPEC?

I think they are the same except for barrel length... again, I'm new to all this.

Aaand would barrel length affect anything?

Thanks,
Rumble

Hi Rumble, its the same rifle except the g spec has a shorter barrel. Only thing affected is the fps from what I have read, but I have had both and haven't seen any difference in range or accuracy. To be honest, I prefer the g spec cause its smaller and more mobile.

Before anyone starts hazing you, please go make an introduction post, and make sure to check out the forums rules ok. Thanks buddy. Welcome to the forums by the way. There are plenty of really cool, and knowledgeable members here. There is tons of info posted about nearly every rifle available.

A small difference between the 2 models is also the tapered barrel. The regular BAR-10 actually has a barrel that tapers to the front of the barrel, so in other words it becomes smaller, whereas the G-Spec has a outer barrel that remains the same in the diameter. Also it's shorter, just as Ranger said.

In case you're looking to upgrade your rifle, be aware that you'll need to drill out the endcap/adapter for the silencer on the G-Spec, to let pass through a longer inner barrel. I had to do that on mine, but it's an easy fix.

Welcome to the forums.
