I've been trying to get rid of a Blaser for like a month now, and I'm starting to want to hang on to it and make it a project gun. Question is: what parts do I need to make it compete with other rifles? Normally, if it was a more common platform, this wouldn't be a problem. But because it's such a rare beast to see people using, I figured I need some feedback before I go slicing the thing open. Has anyone ever upgraded one to max performance? If so, what parts is it compatible with? If I could get a simplified list of compatible parts/upgrades, that would be perfect. I have been unable to find any guides or upgrade chains, help of any kind would be very much appreciated.

Happy operating.

Love this rifle too. With t he 2 cycle bolt:bow:, it's way faster than 4 cycles:zzz:

Just acquiring my upgrade parts , a few at a time. Seams there is a very high demand for them. I need the Aluminium piston then I can try out the 550 spring with out destroying the plastic parts in side. THEY SUCK !!!!!!!! It is shameful but alas  an inevitable part of this game.

You will need to acquire the steel spring guide, aluminium piston, blue piston head rubber, 80 degree or 90 degree hop up rubber, some extra slippy grease for the bolt so it won't continue to score it's self up:lame: then we need to determine what inner barrel to use with these parts to finish off the build.

I am sure that there are people out there that can add to the list of stuff.

Currently I lost the plastic spring guide when it exploded. Like EAGs the plastic stuff is OK for under 330 FPS. Right now I am at 467 FPS. Risking plastic explosion # 2 here.

The stock barrel is good as I don't know what the ID of the inner is? Any one??? That way I might be able to determine a new inner ID. Keep the length to 495 MM as this is the longest an inner can be to shoot closer to the Max of 361 feet at 500 FPS. Can't remember the BB weight for this shot. I will be back later as my R 93 evolves.

Right now I am working on a folding stock. Should be nice for using my M4 ICS shorty secondary with it's 1300 mag!!!:lmao:Dam I love those things!!! But my R 93 more.

Later !!!!

Getting into it! Plastic internals , well get ride of them My plastic spring guide broke, metal one broke too! Had to Silver solder it together to make it work????? Went to steel cylinder. Stock Aluminium unit flexed badly under the cocking load. It was bending a lot. Having a 4130 Chromalloy made to see if I can get more out of it in the stability end. Been trying a few bucking rubbers with 6.01 inner stainless barrel. Shooting Bio BBs. Achieved only 204 foot hits at about 4 out of 10 shots. found out later that the stainless barrel was cutting bucking rubbers! Chamfer those! Bought some .32 bios. Didn't get much accuracy but that was because of the sharp edges cutting the rubber! More to come when I get some verifiable info. Buying 6.03 barrel. I'll see how that works out. NOTE! ballistics , theoretically, BBs can only fly 360 feet at 500 FPS. Any one got some input here? SO getting some one to build it for me. I am getting too frustrated right now. Waiting for the upgraded triggers to arrive as well. have the 550 and 600 FPS springs. NOW just need time for testing.........after it's together.

Any one else have some experiences they can share?

Well more testing. After some set backs I have 467 FPS. Now looking at Mericale barrels, lengthening inner mag spring, waiting of r up grade trigger assemblies! WOW! Still shooting about 435 now. Had a problem with the bucking rubbers and the interior barrel retaining clips. The "PLASTIC" broke, of course they did" making my own out of E 530 steel shortly. Bought the steel cylinder and it is cheaper than making your own. So things are coming along. Looking forward to having it assembled soon as the riggers come.
