thanks all,

wolf - I will know 100% on the vsr internals soon, I think it is limited tothe spring guide, spring, piston, and cylindar head

Woog - the straight bolt pull is nice and I can see myself getting lazy with it. I have heard other people mention they dont like it, but it doesnt bother me at all.

Have you taken it out to any games or no?

Still wanting to hear some in game results with the rifle.

That and I am still wanting to get one and chop down the barrel and make it a sweet short barrel rifle :D

no not yet, I am running a couple other tests trying out some new components with it. plus it is not as good as my othe rifles, yet, so it will be hard to field it. It is like driving a toyota when you have a ferrari sitting in the garage

Hello there. I'm new to this forum, and I have been scouring the internet trying to find out details about the internals on this replica- I recently purchased the Blaser, and would like to upgrade it in the near future, so your review and information are going to be invaluable, as it seems no one knows the exact details on the internals. At least, I have been unable to find any solid information after WAY too much time spent on Google.

Have you had any luck figuring out/confirming any parts compatibility with the VSR platform?

Thank you for your efforts! I am sure a lot of us will find your information very useful!

@Wolf- done, sir- and nice to meet you. Thank you all for sharing what you know with a newb (to sniper related topics, anyway).

In any case, I have found some specific King's Arms parts online, namely extra magazines, a steel spring guide, barrel spacers and 2 King's Arms branded AM springs, advertised as 550 and 600 FPS respectively. Providing links in case anyone else is interested to keep all info in this thread.

More to the point of the review, I would love to know if the piston is VSR-10 compatible, as that is one crucial piece I cannot find, so far. I did go ahead and order the 550 spring and guide, but am reluctant to install until I can also get a piston that isn't plastic!

Thank you all.

Unfortunately the pistons are not compatible!

Size comparison: aluminum piston-type 96, blue piston VSR and white is Blaser

So I'm guessing and the cylinder will be different!
The spring guides are VSR compatible!

I wonder (and here is the "newb", as the kids say, question) if it would be possible to use an entire cylinder and bolt assembly from a VSR-10 in this gun... but I don't have a diagram of the VSR to compare what it looks like compared to the Blaser model side to side...

In any case, just got the barrel spacer, steel spring guide and 550fps/ M170 spring KA branded parts. But I'll wait to get the KA Piston before I put them in.

Hmm... paid $170 for the rifle (open box special), then $11 on spring guide, $10 on spring, $5 on barrel spacer... then $X? on piston... all of a sudden, not so cheapo...!
