hello, I am new here and I have been researching for quite some time now, and have recently seen the king arms m150 gearbox on ehobbyasia.com(heres the link- http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/king-arms-m150-ver-ii-rear-wiring-complete-gearbox-for-m16a2-aeg.html ) So my plans would be to just "drop in" this gearbox after modifying it to be semi-auto only. Has any one ever had experience with this gearbox before, or even for that matter, dropped in an m150 before and had success?

So you don't think I should get the gearbox? Any ways, I think I am going to go with an a&k sr-25 instead of a normal m16 since it's gearbox design is better built to sustain higher springs.

Well king arms does make nice stuff and the specs on the gearbox seem good. Personally I would stay away from the SR-25 they have a longer piston/cylindar design so parts are not as available as a normal V2, If you want a great base for a DMR I would go with a KWA SR-12, they are a bit pricey but well worth it.

Ok, thanks. I was looking to go for the "cheaper" side of making a dmr rather than spending like 500 dollars on one. i was figuring i may go with something like a dboys m16 dmr since it's full metal and is fair priced.
