I had the same issue with my tanaka, I ran a cloth through the nozzle, and polished it a little bit, and it helped tremendously.
Make sure whatever you are using (hopefully HPA, if not, I want to know what you did!) has no silicon, or lube of any kind in it at all. You should apply that yourself, not put it into the airstream.
