I would say a spring rifle if it is your first sniper. IMO the KJW needs an HPA set-up along with most of the same upgrades you would do to a Tanaka to make it field ready.
You can get a UTG MK96 shooting fairly well for a pretty cheap price. Just a new hop-up, bucking, and barrel will bring it out to around the 80-90 yard mark.
