Alright so I have been trying to convince myself for a while to go ahead and fully upgrade the bar-10, but I was just looking around at airsoft atlanta's stuff and saw the kjw m700. Now for 200.00 this thing shoots 550 out of the box, which is what I'm trying to get my bar-10 up to eventually. Has anyone had experience with this, or gas sniper rifles period? Any help is much appreciated.

Well there are some people that have had some really good reviews with it, then there are those that are really bad.

I hear that they are very VERY inconsistent. And they will shoot at that speed for a while, then they slow way down. Depending on where you live at the bar would be an easier way to go.

The bar is around $60 and with a few mods you can get the bar up to that 550. And for the same amount of cash, the $200, you can make the bar to be one hell of a nice weapon.

LOL.... Don't worry man. I know what that is like. Just don't push her into it and she may let you get the rifle. Either that or do what I always do..... Offer to do some chores or something around the house for her, with out saying anything about the rifle. Then after a while she will ask if you would like anything...

Than just tell her about the rifle, and how cheap it is compared to the "name brand" model

Gas rifles are less consistant in fps because of the nature of the propelant and its means of being used within the system, it may only be by a couple of fps but constancy is what your main goal should be, because a spring is the same everytime the constancy is alot better and only let down by the air seals :)

Grats man, sounds good but I wouldn't recommend a 6.00 tb for accuracy. Cold shot systems or HPA rigs will definitely help the consistency. It's my opinion that it will never be as consistent as a spring rifle with perfect seals, but a lot of other people disagree and insist that HPA and Co2 don't vary AT ALL with temperature, just because they vary less than propane. /endrant

That being said, I recommend a 6.03 promo or a PDI barrel if you can manage that. EdGI's 6.00's aren't the best for accuracy although he might be the only one to make barrels for that model.
