I'm thinking of trying to strengthen the L96 stock trigger assembly with some special epoxy.
Now I did some research and found something called Pratley WondaFix that has very strong bounding capabilities but also has very good shock absorbing properties.

I was thinking to try mold this to the stock trigger system where the plastic parts are to see if this doesn't improve the rigidity of the trigger housing.

If you guys can maybe show me where your stock trigger units broke it will help to see where the weak areas are.

I could then try it and show some pics of how I did it and if it works at all.

Well from the looks of other forums posts about the Maruzen/ Well / UTG , the trigger assembly breaks more or less at the same places everytime.
This leads me to believe that the weak points could be enforced.

However the issue might be if one re-enforces the weak points that it will cause more stress on other areas, that will cause it to break there.

It's worth a try I guess.

I say it definitely is worth a try. At some point, the stock trigger assembly will break, there is no doubt about it, so why not test the waters and see what we can do to prevent this?

Good luck man, I hope this works.

Come on man, what is wrong with you ;)

Just kidding, no worries, I wish you luck. This could save many people from having to spend alot of money on the upgraded triggers.

O, speaking of triggers, guess who got a zero trigger for half the price

Now we are even...you have a glock aep and I have a zero trigger :)

Well, I did the epoxy cover.
Think is it's not really visible. It's a clear compound. Like clear glue almost.
so I could take a pic but you won't really see anything.
I added it to the outside of the trigger making sure not to cover the areas where the hex screws are.
Once it hardened it's like a hard but slightly 'rubbery' / 'grippy' surface to it.
by the feel of it I think this will def help improve the strength of the stock trigger.
Time will tell I suppose.

I did order another trigger but I will put this one in to see what happens once I get my other trigger.

Check this out dude. Its exactly what you have been trying to do :) Scroll down the page to the part with the trigger box.

Link to the thread: http://shredderscs.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pdi&action=display&thread=46&page=2

Quote from thread:

Sir rogue, don't worry about your stock trigger box(even though it's plastic) You can still use it in your 500fps set up. I'm using 550fps set up with it with not problem what so ever & has been using it more than 6month & thousands of bbs through the set up. The trick is use Epoxy to enhance the trigger box like this;

This is not finish yet as i don't have the finish version picture. Just make sure gives some clearance for the moving parts 1 but epoxy can be sand down with sand paper if you put to thick that obstruct the moving parts. Some of the forumers in the philippines use sir edgi sp02(600fps) without any problem with it for as long as 2 years, the last i ask them. The sear also very good as it's is 90degree design, it can withstand 500ish fps with no problem. So you can buy the zero trigger later on as POLARSTAR is coming out with well/warrior L96 trigger set.

Yeah the re-enforcement works.

However to be 100% sure I went and got a FijoCustom trigger now.

Shipping was fast and Carlos is a great guy. Awesome quality.

Will be upgrading my rifle in the next 2 weeks with this trigger.

Havokza, that trigger unit looks similar to the guy that was on Shredders forum. I believe I posted a link in this thread to it earlier. Is it the same guy? And how much is that trigger in your post? I believe I saw one similar going for only $70. Might be wrong though, its been awhile.

Ok that is THE best trigger you will find for the L96 bar none.
perfect installation, comes with the pin holding the spring as well.
Got the actual trigger customized, and at 100gram pull strength.

What else can I say...put a lot of shots through the gun and the trigger is still 100%, not a single little sign of wear etc.
I reckon you can push it up to 800FPS before it will start reaching the limits of this trigger.
So yeah, if you want to upgrade the trigger get this.
