Often times I play matches with only one magazine, and maybe my pistol. I'm looking for a small/lightweight setup to carry the necessities somewhere convenient (rather than my flight suit's pockets, which are difficult to get to with all the ghillie).
I want something that keeps things secure that you can run in (so probably not leg pouches).

Right now this kind of rig is looking promising:

Anyone have input on this, or a similar rig? Recommendations?

True, although I was thinking in many scenarios I'd be more comfortable using a chest rig than a belt rig (prone keeping arms close, running). Any recommendation though?

really, a simple belt will do for such a minimal setup. Not a warbelt, but a simple 50mm belt, and toss the pistol to your strong hand side and the mag(s) to the other. Right on the side of your hips.

That's by miles the most comfortable way possible. You won't even notice they're there. Use a low profile but rigid holster and maybe a fast taco style mag pouch.

A chest rig will push you up from the ground, so it will not be so good for shooting from prone, and definitely a major league PITA when trying to sniper crawl.

Lately I have been building a set of m-56/m-67, modding things to it. So far its working well. Which my existing condor battle belt setup already resembles this, though it is closer to the mayflower/velocity jungle rig. https://www.velsyst.com/jungle-kit.html

I was going to buy the Mayflower stuff, but it did not come in OD green and I have issues spray painting nice things...

I think once I have this all set, it will look nice with my set of obliterator viral camo.
