I have a jg bar 10. I want to keep my mags on the gun. I am debating on getting an elastic shot shell holder and restitching the elastic loops to fit the mags. Or getting a butt stock ammo holder with a pouch. I do not like the m4 butt stock mag pouches and will not get them. I will have 1 in the gun and 3-4 extra. I would just like suggestions if anyone has done this before.

The reason for this is with a ghille suit on this would make reloads easier as I won't have the mags under the ghille and have to feel for them. They would already be right in front of me.

I use pistol mags but theyre condor and that makes me puke. I made the mistake of their triple pouch because the measurements do not fit the molle increments; thus, bunching up the middle pouch and pushes against the mag which can force the bbs to spew out of those flimsy mags. Other than that, the shotgun shell retension straps sounds neat, but it may be prone to falling out. Never seen or exeperienced such a concept.

You should be able to buy elastic band at your local crafts store (even Walmart has elastic band in various widths!) Find something to attach it to, attach it to your stock, and BAM!

You could even improve on the shell holder by adding an additional strap on the bottom, to keep the mag from falling through the opening on the bottom. You should be able to dye the elastic to any color you need, and it will probably end up being much cheaper too. You could even go crazy and buy some velcro to experiment with as well.

I thought about doing velcro on the bottom of the mags, and I am very confident in the industrial strength to hold them on, but I want it to look good, and the slight curve of the stock doesn't sit well with the flat magazine bottoms. I believe i am going to go with the shell holder.
Get it and add an extra strap so theres 2 straps holding to it.

But am going to put velcro on somewhere so I can put a patch on the stock.

Using deck screws, I attach a dual pistol mag pouch to the side of my stock, It will hold an extra mag and speed loader without dropping either.

Sometimes, I carry a green gas colt25 pistol as a backup, but mostly just another mag and ammo.

Here's a better picture.

This is possible the best upgrade i have done to the rifle for the money.

So I opted for a stock pouch on eBay. It was $15 to get it to my door, and it only took 4 days. Acid tactical is the company. When I got it it came with a velcro rifle shell holder, and a shotgun holder. The shotgun isn't going to be used in this. I took a razor blade and carefully cut the stitches and made 2 small holes on the rifle strap 1 hole.
If you do this with the shotgun strap it won't fit.
But done right and it is perfect.

The material quality is much better than i was expecting for 15$. It is very customizable to fit many sizes, and also has straps the using paracord instead of the velcro straps. it is slightly padded and it actually gives a nice feel.

Also the zippered pouch was originally where i wanted to store the mags in. But the strap means i can carry more stuff, and now i can carry 3 more mags.

3 on the strap is very secure, the design of VSR mags make this perfect. The BB (exit hole) on the top make sure it won't slip out and the finger grooves on the sides make a good fit.

But I play night games with a tracer. I can easily fit my tracer unit (5" can) and a small speed loader/extra mag in the pouch.

Here is a link to a china location.

But i found a seller from america on amazon, but had few colors. Shipping was so much faster.

I highly advise getting one of these on every rifle, airsoft or real to store things in. From mags, knives, wallet, phone, hunting license, flashlight, or a flask or "juice" i am absolutely pleased with it.
