My mag well in my SG r700 is defective and I would like a way to remedy it other than electrical tape. Any Ideas?

Well, first you are going to have to tell us what is wrong before we can fix it for you.

My magazine does not stay in place when I put it in the mag well. I must apply upward pressure on it for it to feed properly. Other wise it just falls on the floor.

Is your mag catch installed properly? If it is, I would suggest maybe replacing the spring. I know not of the inner workings or that gun, but if it is like the BAR, then that is what I would check first. Then, if all else fails, go ahead and check to make sure the recession on the mag for the catch is still in tact.

I have found the problem. The Mag I received is deformed and doesn''t sit properly in the mag well. I Got some sand paper and sanded it and it now fits like a charm.
