The threaded grub screw is used to put in the middle of the regulator on the bottom (in the centre hole). When connected to an HPA tank, this grub screw will push the open valve on the tank.

So good news and (mostly) mostly bad news.

Bad news: I can't install the kit because their cylinder head is *juuuust* too long. Magazines will not stay in and the nozzle puts excess pressure on the hop because of the overall length when installed in the cylinder.

Good news: The customer service is wonderful and Michal genuinely wants to help his customers. Oh, that and the regulator is sexy!! He did a custom milling job that my manometer regulator will fit flawlessly in the stock of my FN SPR A5M

I have zero idea what to do, I don't think I have access to any machinists around here, and if I did I'm not sure they would be able to tackle something like this without damaging the cylinder head. Overall I'm feeling pretty crappy. My luck with airsoft purchases is zero at this point. Was really looking forward to this working

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I'm not sure if this will help but try using it with a stock cylinder. AFAIK they were designed to be used with stock gun parts so maybe it's just to big for teflon cylinder? On the other hand the cylinders should be the same size so I really don't think this should solve the problem.

The stock cylinder was a PoS and broke shortly after the gun arrived.

It appears that there is excess material on the upper cap portion of the cylinder head and that the same amount of excess is also in the nozzle

That's bad news. I've just looked at mine and it looks the same as yours so it's probably all of them. I wonder how he tested it with this kind of cylinder head...
Hope you'll solve this issue and get yours working.

Mine is also for VSR.
I haven't tested it out yet cause I haven't gotten the rifle but it looks the same as pics above so I guess it has the same problem.

FYI to everyone using Mancraft's regulators:

If your airsoft events require tournament locks on CO2 and/or HPA set-ups, I have found that Natech/DH Customs makes a blaze orange SCM-III Tournament lock that will fit on the regulator. Just add a strip of tape around the cap that regulates the pressure, apply the lock and zip tie shut.

Pain_is_Red, about your problem with the kit. This idea just popped into my head, thought I'd share it with you. Have you thought about taking a few mm out of the cylinder itself? It should be much easier than to remove excess material from the inside of the cylinder head cap without use of machinery tools and may solve the problem.
The bad thing is you probably won't be able to use this cylinder with standard parts anymore.

Welcome to opposite world...
My stock cylinder head is thicker then the one from mancraft.
But the nozzle length is longer on the one from mancraft.
In all, the one from mancraft is about 0.75mm longer.

I modded a cylinder head from AirsoftPro to fit instead(16mm drill), as I like it more then a stock/mancraft.

BuMS, so you're using some standard cylinder head with mancraft kit? How did you mod it to make it work with the kit? Have you checked the performance yet?

I was considering that to be honest but I like the ability to swap out the mancraft kit for spring parts should something fail during a game.

I sent Mancraft some diagrams as to what I need done and Michal is going to get back to me, so, fingers crossed basically.

If the problem still persists I'll probably just end up shaving off 1mm off the cylinder. It's a last resort, because if it doesn't work I'm down an $80 cylinder as well.

Yes basically.
I just used a 16mm drill to widen it so it becomes hollow like the one from mancraft.
And the performance is the same, I haven't noticed any difference.

Keep us posted.
BTW, what cylinder are you having problems with? Is it PDI?

Guess what came today!? lol

One on the left is the replacement the one on the right is the taller, defective cylinder head. That *1*mm makes a big difference.

Second picture is besides the stock cylinder and cylinder head

Pretty pumped to see if this fixes the issue, either way I'll both be keeping in contact with Mancraft as well as on here as to any updates.

I'm very intersted in getting one of these, I'm just wondering how can i connect the 4mm line to my Rig when it uses 6mm lines usually, do i just need an adapter on my regulator?
