Hello guys,
Im having a little problem in my MB03 build, i currently have the following parts installed on it.

AA Chamber
AA inner barrel 430mm (i have cut the outer barrel since it was 530mm)
ML monster 70 + concave nub
Airsoftpro kit (trigger, piston, cilinder head, spring guide)
PDI Spring 520 fps

My problem is that i have airleaks between the cylinder head and bucking, i have tried to teflon tape the bucking entrance but it makes really hard the cylinder head to enter the bucking and almost impossible to cock the gun so i am shooting 450 fps due to the airleak.

I have tried the autobot bucking 60 and 70, both of them gave innacuracy issues but the airseal was perfect giving me 535 FPS.

Due the fact i am shooting 450 fps atm i cant use 0.43bbs with the ML monster without having jams when aplying hop but it's shooting like laser beams until 75 meters aprox and it starts to drop because i cant apply more hop than that without jam (bb cant pass bucking due to not enough FPS)

So is there anyway i can fix the airleak between the cylinderhead and bucking?

Thanks in advance!.

Cut some 7mm heat shrink to fit over the air nozzle. Put it over the end of the air nozzle and used a lighter to shrink it to the right shape. Then super glued it to the nozzle. Most people do this with Teflon/pluming tape but it does not last. This trick lasts. This mod should create a better air-seal between the nozzle and the bucking.

If heat shrink does not work for you then you may want to try using Non Crack Finger Nail Polish.
Apply it in layers. Let each layer dry and then reapply another coat. When finished leave it for a day or so to properly harden before putting it in the gun.
The other option is to use a 2 part epoxy mix glue and build that up on the air nozzle. If you add too much it is hard to get off but it can be sanded until smooth and it lasts a long time if done in the right mixture.

Maple leaf buckings (& why you should use them)

Is your outer barrel rotated in all the way? The outer barrel may be one turn to far out, and that will cause major airseal issue. I would try to tighten your outer barrel to the receiver, and if that doesn't work, 1Tonne's suggestion should do the trick

So with the super cold winter months here in the EU I have gotten feedback and tried myself on multiple rifles that have ML buckings that they do not perform well in minus C temperatures. The rubber most likely starts to harden too much and gets plasticky.

I have tried:
Hotshot 60 @400-500FPS
Autobot 60 @ 500-550FPS
Autobot 70 @ 550FPS

Temperatures ranging aroung -5 to -15C.

I understand these are not common playing conditions but what can you do. Does anyone else have similar results?

Should I try Autobot/Decepticon 50 for colder months?

I just came here to comment about the same thing. My brother tried his VSR with the 70deg autobot outside in minus temperatures and after like 5 min or so it started shooting very bad. When he went back in for a while and shot, it was like normal.

So this is one thing why ir-hop patch would be a better option (when done excellent, I cannot do that). Of course if you play only in summertimes (like I do) or inside, you wouldn't really get any advantage over ML autobot/decepticon.

Of course, during summertime, the autobot is perfect pretty much combined with AA chamber.

I think i had the same issues, i tested my sniper rifle with diamond bucking and two different hot shot bucking setups in my polarstar during the cold time (0° - +5°). And had no good/consistant performance. I will try these setups when it gets warmer again.

All the Action Army barrels have a bridge which you have to file off. The only AA barrel that does not have the bridge is the VSR 300mm and the 430mm.

All VSR AA barrels are unbridged though, but yes that includes the 303 and 430 mm. If you have a bridged one, it's a hybrid or universal barrel, not a VSR barrel :yup:

All the ASGI barrels are made by action army. They are all universal barrels. Personally I would go with another barrel. I have both the ASGI barrel and AA and they are not all that good. You may be better off just polishing out your stock barrel then buying one of those.

I would go with the CJ barrel. They shoot great for the price tag. Though you will need to find one somewhere. They are pretty popular.

Hey Reliku, what do you think how many shots does the Maple Leaf 70 degree Autobot Bucking in combination with a AA Hop Up Unit for the VSR 10 needs to break in? I've got pretty much no hop with .40g BBs.

Installed are the following parts:

EdGi 550 FPS Kit without the Cylinder

AA Hop Up Unit with Maple Leaf Omega Concave Nub

EdGi Unbridged Barrel

Synthesis Immortal Cylinder + Head

Maple Leaf CNC Trigger unit complete

Maple Leaf 70 degree Autobot Bucking

Check air seal on cylinder.

Then check air seal on cylinder and barrel/hop unit.

Air leak would be the simplest explanation.

If no leak then re check hop up installation and nub placement. Also make sure bucking nub looks good. Teflon taping the bucking to barrel is also a good idea though typically not needed with AA chambers.
