You're welcome SandmanDK! I'm glad that I found this video too. He gives really great pointers on making a ghillie as well as giving pointers on how to best use it.

Great vidéo. I love how he states that a ghillie is an "edge" and not the be-all end-all of a sniper. I'm currently debating whether or not to build myself a ghillie suit, and I will someday, but for now I think I'll focus on other more crucial aspects of concealment.

You would be in great shape and surprised at how well vegging your rifle, increases your edge on the field. You are extremely mobile due to lack of any sort of extra ghillie on you, moving through brush easy and without any sort of snag, plus no extra weight besides your basic gear set up. By just camouflaging my rifle, going all out, I have been able to stay concealed very nicely and have had little to no need for any ghillie at the local field.

Thanks for the tip! Ill try this out. If I an going to make it without a ghillie on my body, what sort of clothing/bdu should I wear? Any particular camo or plain OD?

Whatever blends in with your surroundings best.

I personally wore BDU woodland pants and a light olive green thin sweater. Never really washed them so they accumulated a solid bit of dirt that made it blend nice with everything.
