Hello again folks!

Here's some photos of my new Tokyo Marui VSR-10, excuse the poor camo wrapping (I will have another go!) and the elastic bands (I am going to get some black ones). ;)

It's mostly for show, I probably won't use it when I actually skirmish. The idea was that if a sniper sees me he will hesitate to read it, and I will get the shot in first. ;)

I'll have to get a shot of the scope not covered too, it's HUGE compared to my rifle! I haven't seen it without the 3" sun shade on though...

Back when me and my one buddy was playing we would go against eachother and that was kind of my trick in a way. I would spot him and I would have my middle finger up and if he saw me then he would start to crack a smile cause of me flipping him the bird,lol.. thats how I knew if I get spotted. As soon as I'd see the smile start I would squeeze the trigger. So I know what you mean by having the words there to kind of stun the enemy.. Its a nice trick and good way to know if your spotted! I like the tape wrap too. I always hated people wrapping their rifles with camo tape but recently I started liking it more for some reason. This may be a dumb question but is the fabric tape a kind of newer thing? I dont recall seeing it till more recently. People always seemed to use a duct tape type camo tape and it drove me nuts! This fabric tape actually seems pretty cool and looks like it works pretty nicely. I am actually debating on getting some but I cant wrap the barrel to my stock. Just incase I need in there for something. I like the scope too.. looks pretty tough on that rifle compared to most other peoples rifle scopes. I may just have to start investing into a sexy scope too,lol..

The tape is really good! If you wrap it badly (like me) or just decide you don't want it on there, you can unwrap it and reuse it. It's pretty tough too and is easy to cut with a decent pair of scissors.
I would recommend it, and if you don't like it you can just take it off.

The fabric tape I used is also available in DPM and Desert colours.

I got to check out some of the camo tape but it was used already,lol.. My wife bought a few paintball guns from her ex husband cause he was behind on support for their kids and it was like a trade off I guess. Anyways one of them paintball guns was chromed and was wrapped in that tape. I took the tape off so I could take pics so we could sell them and used the tape on my scope. Its pretty old and not super adhesive right now but it does work nicely. Thats when I started looking at the tape more and noticing other peoples tapework. I may just get some when I can afford it.

Just cut along the edge of your netting and use that to tie it on instead of elastic band. It would blend in with itself. Great job by the way :0).

Looks good with that tape on there. You should put that smiley face on the front cover though. Picture yourself walking through the woods. You see a sniper aiming straight at you. You look down his scope with fear filling your mind. Just as he is about to pull the trigger, you see the smiley face, double up laughing, and he misses the shot.

Anywho... Nice looking rifle you got there.

Update:

I have installed a PDI Light Outer barrel on my VSR.
PDI sent me the 690 version by mistake so I have 124mm space in my outer barrel because my 430mm inner barrel doesn't reach the end.
The PDI barrel is lighter, has a more matte finish, and feels and looks much better than the stock barrel! Also, the sound is reduced significantly because of the space between the inner barrel and end cap of the outer barrel.

List of modifications:
Shimmed hop up chamber
biro-pen flat hop arm
Polished inner barrel
PTFE tape on cylinder head
Dental floss on bucking
Full length electrical tape barrel spacer (very tight)
(TDC mod is next).
