I am so annoyed with this! The bbs are getting stuck at the top of the mags almost everytime. I have tried shaving the edge of the top piece on the mag by where the bb exits and that didn't work. They do this on all four mags. I have tried three different types of bbs. Does anyone else have this problem? How could I fix it?

I have a problem with my hi-cap magazine. It stops feeding after a few shots (normaly 4 but sometimes I can shoot more). The problem there is inside the magazine, I will lube it and see what happens but until I test it again I can't say if it will work.

EDIT: I read wrong, I got a P90. I just saw P9 ....

I would check that the mag isn't actually pressing too hard into the magwell. I've had problems with that on high cap mags with gas guns where the mag wouldn't feed correctly because it's in the mag well too far for the mechanism that seats the BB to properly set the next BB into place.

Thts not the problem because when the mag is out of the gun and I slowly move the spring up with bbs it gets stuck near the top.
Did you try shaving off some of the material from the actual bb guide rod that the spring pushes?

I had the same problem with pulling back one of my M9 magazines to load BBs into it. Kinda the opposite, but similar problem. I just opened up the bottom and pulled out the guide rod, and shaved off a little bit of material on all the edges. After that I wrapped it in a light layer of teflon tape and put few drops of 100% silicone oil on it. Just be aware that your BB's will have a varying trajectory for a bit until the silicone oil is no longer built up in the BB reservoir.

I'm beginning to think that it might be something inside the breech of the gun where the BB's are loaded if it's doing the same thing with every mag. My little modification may or may not work depending on that.

Oh, okay. Before you start sanding some material off, just drop some silicone oil in the mag. There's a chance it might just have a buggered up spot in it somewhere. If that doesn't fix it, then try sanding the guide rod down a bit and putting some teflon on it.

Anyways, have a good vacation, and best of luck on the mag when you get home!

I think I fixed the problem. I gave the mags a really good cleaning and then put some silicone oil that came with the gun along the track and the bb pusher. I played for a few hours yesterday and didnt notice one problem.

@plazmaburn
I will still upload pics of where it was getting stuck if you want?

here is where the bbs get stuck.

This is the bottom of the top piece of the mag. I used an exacto knife to scrap down the edges where i am pointing at in the pic and then i cleaned it really well with water, q-tips, and then put silicone oil on it.

What kind of bb's are you using? This plays a huge role in how well these guns work. I have been using evike brand .23 in my kmp9 which have a diameter of 5.95. I know someone who was using bb's with a diameter of 5.98 and they would get stuck almost every time.
If you find that your already using 5.95 diameter bb's you could try using some Japanese specification bb's. They have a diameter of 5.88 and are actually sometimes recommended for kwa and ksc guns.
I would try those thing before filing away your magazines.

I have tried 5 different types of bbs and after a did what I said in the last post they work. Shaving down that piece a little won't do anything but ensure the edge isn't sticking out in front of the bb. I will probably make sure to get smaller bbs from now on too.

Funny you should say KSC, for whatever reason they don't work in that kmp9. They work great in everything else, just not my kmp9.

Do you mean those Japanese specification bb's don't work in the ksc?
