So I put this together for my next game. Like the album says...
DMR Loadout Pics
PTS ACR DMR setup (450 FPS, Millet DMS-1 Optic)
JG Tanker (350 FPS, 11.v LiPO and ridiculous ROF) in scabbard as secondary. I have an H harness and battle belt, holding 2 extra M4 mags (or I can add 2 more for a total of 4 plus the 2 in the rifles), will run midcaps to be quiet. Condor OD Hydration carrier, small general use pouch for miscellaneous small items. Puxing 888 radio with earpiece/mike, ESS Thermal goggles with fan (as I can fog anything up without effort!), Proper surplus woodland pants, Tru Spec combat shirt (woodland), Condor OD multiwrap for face cover and german surplus bandanna in OD for headgear. Might replace that with UndrArmor heat gear OD hood, heard those are comfy in the heat. Hatch knee pads, black mechanix gloves (have some in woodland, but lost them by lending them out at a game). Have some woodland ones on order. Bates tactical boots. Like I said, utilitarian- water, comm, light ammo, common mags for both weapons, all engagement ranges covered. Chameleon Poncho, and I do have a chameleon rifle wrap (not shown).
I think that covers it. Might add optional items, like a pair of decent binoculars for scouting. So- the idea is a bit more stealth than the average rifleman, and can throw on or remove camo poncho quickly, throw it in my pouch if not needed, while being a bit lighter and more comfortable than a full ghillie suit sniper (even though nowhere near as concealable as one). Like I said, a good in between both worlds, I hope- like a Designated Marksman/Recon, I hope. Also considering changing the JG M4 (it is full metal, so HEAVY for it;s size) for a MP5 or G36C. Or a KWA KRISS Vector when they come out...
OK< so how bad is it for a noob to the stealthy approach...?
DMR Loadout Pics
So- the details:This is my first attempt at a DMR type loadout. NOT based on any actual military or armed forces type, this is strictly utilitarian. The combat shirt, for example, I am seriously considering replacing with a long sleeve OD Under Armor tactical shirt for wicking/ease of movement/comfort, especially if I use the Chameleon poncho during daytime Alabama summer games (read- 100 plus degrees).
